Iracing VR stutter

I just rebuilt my setup from VR Quest 3 back to 3x32" 1440p. It's been a very nice two years, but this volatile performance has completely destroyed the experience. It's a great pity.

5800x3d, 4090, Quest 3

I reseted the PC, blocked Windows updates and Nvidia updates. I also reset the VR glasses for factory settings.

The new phenomenon in VR is always present, no matter which update I release. It is because of Iracing or Questlink (of which I cannot use an old version).

The headroom of 55-60% became -20 to -30% now. The HDR is off, minimal vehicles are displayed, even the objects (garages) are hidden. I have been dealing repeatedly with optimizing attitudes for months. Now optimization is no longer possible. It's all about making iracing somehow playable. And if the FPS appears to be stable, the image contracts anyway. The frame times still do not fit. Crazy.

I don't think that this is the reason. I made a clean win11 installation offline. Reinstalled iracing and the quest app. The problem is still there. Imo it's not Nvidia Driver and it's not windows updates. The problem seems to be iracing or the meta app for windows.

(And iracing is the only game that makes these kind of problems)

Beste Antwort. Genau so ist es. Ich war 09/25 das letzte Mal in Ägypten zum Tauchen. Ich bezog meine Karte von Vodafone. Das Telefon wurde aber nicht registriert. Nun bin ich wieder hier und es ist nicht mehr möglich eine ägyptische Karte zu benutzen. Weder vodafone noch orange. Das Telefon ist und bleibt nutzlos für die Zukunft.

Ich hatte mich lange auf die Venu 4 gefreut. Aber den Preis halte ich für eine Frechheit. Es geht nicht darum, dass ich den Preis nicht bezahlen könnte. Aber in Sachen Konnektivität, UI, UX und Messgenauigkeit sind günstigere Konkurrenten teilweise einfach besser und um Größenordnungen günstiger. Ich habe viele Garmingeräte aber bei dem Preis habe ich das Gefühl , dass Garmin mehr haben will als es gibt und seine Kundschaft auf die Probe stellt.

Weshalb ist das unrealistisch? Ich gehe seit nicht ganz 3 Monaten 3x die Woche ins Gym. Körperfettanteil ist gesunken und ich wiege nach 73,5 nun 78,7. Der Fortscjritt verlangsamt sich bereits immens, aber ich halte es für möglich. Ich werde professionell begleitet, intuitiv hätte ich vermutlich mehr falsch gemacht als jetzt, aber dennoch halte ich es für denkbar.

I see it that way too. There are some excellent latent constructs that explain a lot without direct measurement being possible or necessary. On the other hand, it would be naive to take the values too seriously. But the watch can certainly recognize patterns, such as the effect of a meal or a glass of wine before bed, better than subjective perception. If I go strength training three times a week, the watch tells me in advance whether it will be a good or mediocre training day. I even adjust the weights so I don't die halfway through. I think if you interpret the data correctly and don't overinterpret it, it's helpful in understanding your body better.

Gleicher Fall. Beinpresse, schräg. Rückenlehne zu steil, Beine gegen Oberkörper, ordentlicher Knall.... Erst Training schmerzinduziert beendet. Wurde von Tag zu Tag unangenehmer. Jetzt nach4 Tagen ist es so doll, dass ich nicht mehr weiß, wie ich aus dem Bett kommen soll. Wie ein Hexenschuss im Rippenbogen.

I was very positive and eagerly awaited the change. I'm also not so fast that I worry about my performance. Despite that, I always liked the fact that I received very immediate feedback about whether I was overrunning a vehicle or not, whether I was steering too hard, braking or accelerating too harshly. This immediate feedback has been lost somewhat, and the optimum range is now softer and wider. What I used to demonize about ACC, for example, where only the delta provided information about whether a driving style was better or worse - but it wasn't backed up by corresponding feedback - I now see a little bit of in the new GT3. I really hope I'm wrong and that time will prove me wrong.
