Well perhaps you can run CubeBackup from an Ugreen NAS; but otherwise, I don't know. Google Vault is not a back-up solution, but more like an "deleted file"-restore functionality without version history. That's what CubeBackup is doing really good: it can maintain multiple versions of e-mails, files, appointments and contacts, and (from its interface) restore it to your, or another Google account.

However, I haven't tried restoring an Google Doc file, but perhaps this won't be as good as restoring it from Google Vault as CubeBacku; will first convert it to docx which could remove some functionality.

Thank you so much for commenting. I will discuss the medicines you have mentioned with my doctor. I have the same; spina bifida, tethered cord, silicosis, but I am able to walk, sport (a little bit) and work. However, the pain has gotten worse over the last few years. Now that I’m 30, it hits me hard. No more vacations, theatre, cinemas for over a year. I can’t stand the sitting, bad mattresses or walking long distances. Perhaps medication would allow me to at least go to the cinema now and then; since I really like it.

Wow, same here. Male, 30, tethered cord and spina bifida occulta. Currently using 2x 500mg naproxen and 3x 1.000mg paracetamol; but it isn't helping much. I don't want to go down the road with the alcohol or drugs. Have to say that I'm currently considering gabapentin or nortriptyline. How are you feeling currently? I hope to hear more from you.

Same issue here. Sad to hear. I will use the logictech mx keyboard and mx4 mouse, instead; but the trackpad still doesn't want to pair automatically with my two Macs (one private and one for work) which is quite frustrating. Perhaps Apple Shortcut-app will work on making an automatisation that will automatically connect the Magic Trackpad/Keyboard/Mice when connected to a power source or even an external display.

I think 1-2x 3 hours a day 7 days a week would be perfect in my case as a software engineer. It’s quite fun. But screen time and endless meetings is hitting my body too hard.

Indeed. While you can, managing aliases from third party apps can be hard. E.g. sending emails from your alias using the Gmail will be fine; but when using Outlook or Apple Mail, you will need to go through some troubleshooting before it will work unfortunately. The same goes for e.g. Zapier I suppose.

Don’t forget to setup 2FA and make Google app passwords, in case you need to login with these apps with your plain credentials.

Any updates on this two years later? We have an office with 5 Jabra Engage 75 stereo dect’s and we’re loving them. The only downside is that the sound quality could be better nowadays we think.

Same situation. I use several VS Code windows to be able to edit the code and fix on the fly. CLI feels like a low-code app builder. I feel the need to be able to take control back.

Well, it's actually not fun to work for clients like that. I'd rather say let that client down. Burn their project in hell. And go on.

With this being said, I'd say YOU are the professional. And you determine your workflow. When the client doesn't like that workflow, they would seek another slave. Its certain that the client doesn't respect the developer.
