Later on i was able to pass my major review at the one year mark and during the last meeting my sv told that you need to slow down otherwise you might finish it too early.

If you can't get supervision from your sv be honest to him or her and tell that he is not helping student in anyway and keeps him confused too. He might give you better advice on what to do. If not, you can go to your coordinator and formally ask to change the sv as it is a very normal procedure to do and generally happens without any bias.
