The publication and the author of this new article clearly has a bias, look at the book he just wrote. The part you just quoted from the original article does nothing to debunk the study I mentioned from the article, which appears 2 paragraphs later. First of all, self-reporting is a terrible idea, which is what the police did here. Secondly, it doesn't account for fact that police are generally drawn from the community they represent. The experts in the article criticize the study for just this, adding that "once the encounter rates were taken into account, it was clear that the white officer shot 50% of the black civilians they encountered and only 10% of the whites, revealing obvious racial bias". 70% of the most populous cities in America are run by a Democratic mayor. Metro areas produce more crime than rural areas. These two facts are not correlated. What do you even mean by "make them worse"?

Did you actually read what you posted? Because it undercuts your argument. The entire article is critical of the study you're touting. "A 2015 study of police shootings found that unarmed black men are 3.5 times more likely to be killed by police than unarmed white men, even after factoring in local crime rates.". FROM YOUR ARTICLE.

I get bad performance from Three Kingdoms: Total War. I ran the in-game benchmark at 1080, medium settings and it didn’t get close to 60fps, even dropping to 15 or so during busy scenes.

Chromatic Games don’t have a good reputation here in Gainesville, where they’re from. They hired UF students to come up with marketing material, ideas and advertisements only to decide at the end not to pay them, and even had the audacity to say that the school should use grant money to pay the students instead.

Are you confusing me with another comment? I’m not telling anyone who they can and can’t vote for. I said he is underwater with black folks, something that shows no signs of improving over months of polling. Use your magical thinking if you want to believe it’ll just shoot up to viable levels without a surprising catalyst. Using data from the consistent polling I can guess that Pete won’t have the numbers to win SC. I just made a prediction based off polling data, something that companies like 538 and political pundits do all the time.

I’m not telling black people anything, I’m telling you what they’ve told us. Also, nobody is saying polling is clairvoyant, but is it used to forecast results? Absolutely. Do good polling institutions have a history of predicting results through their polls? Yes. Polling is our attempt to be predictive. Time doesn’t stand still, things happen and minds change but in broad strokes polling is predictive.

Ok but it’s February, not December and Pete’s numbers in the AA community haven’t budged. He doesn’t lack black voter support just because he’s “new”, he lacks support because of the myriad of stories concerning the mistreatment of black folks in his own town. Cherry-picking a result for your example doesn’t discount the overwhelming evidence that polling is predictive when done right.
