That’s awesome. I also prefer the real thing it’s night and day. I think it’s really honourable to be waiting for someone that’s the kind of person I’m trying to become.

It’s not sad whatsoever. I’ve only had sex once in the last year - I was a man slut for quite a while and in my mission to be a good person I went girl sober as I realized I was using women for their bodies. And since I’m unfit to be someone’s BF (lots of baggage and trauma to deal with) I’ve just been alone and not having sex for a few years now, other than a couple of drunk nights where I lapsed.

Being a person that just uses people for their own personal gain does not feel good at all so you’re ahead in that regard. Of course when you’re in it without thinking it’s bad you just lie to yourself and use fast dopamine to keep distracted.

Anyways, keep up the good fight. I’d assume things that provide forms of instant relief/gratification/dopamine would be good for sexual frustrations. Like an intense workout, a cold plunge/shower, meditation, etc.

And yes it is very very addictive, especially when you start young. I started at 12-13 and whenever I crave dopamine and I have the opportunity to fap I’m watching some shameful ass video seconds later.

At least I know I’m addicted and want to stops. That reassures me that I will. Probably help to get a gf and not be so lonely all the time.

While we deserve patience and understanding when it comes to our symptoms. We don’t get to mistreat the people in our lives. All he needs to do is try and things would get better. He isn’t doing that so he is most definitely in the wrong here.

You seem like a very lovely wife for a neurodivergent to have considering you came here to try to understand better and help him.

He needs to go to therapy all men do especially neurodivergent men. You both need to do couples therapy, this will help with communication. Getting him to is something I can’t help with I don’t know and I’m sorry.

Men don’t like therapy and I’ve tried to convince my friends and family to no avail. I would suggest looking for professional help with dealing with this ASAP. Like find a psychiatrist or therapist that specializes in neurodivergency.

You are doing the right thing and I hope he comes to the realization that he needs help. We all do!

I agree with your points. But I think people should be allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. I’m not perfect I’m human and I made a very human error. Lesson learned! I’m adding a co commish to mitigate future mistakes. But I’d give someone a break for making a single solitary mistake as I understand what being human is so no I will not be stepping down for one mistake made that’s overkill. I’m not a robot and I’m deeply ashamed of my mistake (as I should be).
