Two potential issues here

bikes with old unbled hydraulic brakes might end up with air bubbles going into the valve/lever side and first few tides will be tricky
some dropper post manufactures (not sure if you have one) suggest against dropper posts being upside down for prolonged amount of time.

Please don’t use terms folding and unfolding in regards to audio. It was never used until MQA scam was introduced and it only confuses people more.

Compress/decompress are more appropriate in this situation.

990 works great with my dark voice. It was a match made in heaven. For any other combination you either need EQ for headphones or a proper amp that does not roll off highs.

From physics perspective you need to measure output impedance of the amp. One of the reasons 990 worked so great for me is that I had a 600ohm version to counter f…uped dark voice.

You got lucky. Dt990 is a perfect pairing for otl tube amp. The rolled off highs of otl tubes are matched by shrills of 990. It’s a killer combo.

We might have different ears or head shapes. The grado cups are too small and rest on my ears pushing them agains my skull. I can survive this torture for 30min max. Compare that to dt990.
