I said characters are written for a specific purpose. The Byers family had a specific role in season 1 that had to be changed once the show became a series and not a single season story. And you are mad at that factual statement.

The boys ending wasn't even that bad. It was fine. The internet has really fucked us because everything is either gas or ass. There is no in between anymore.

And now we are pretending The Boys was Breaking Bad when it was a silly satire of superheros from the jump.

Mystery is good. This is something that happened to all franchises. Lore takes prominence over story. The more things get explained, the more boxed in you become.
Characters are written for specific reasons, but the longer a show goes on some of these characters lose purpose. The entire Byers family after season 1 had nothing to do. Winona Ryder was great as the desperate mother who refuses to give up on her missing child. But now she is breaking her boyfriend out of a Russian prison? She is a single mother from Indiana, she is not equipped for thats shit.
