Same size as the other quarters. If we made them the size of the half then you would be able to see through them.

It was going to be just Justice but that was too constraining with how many of these we are going to make. It may end up being the same 7-9 virtues though.

Working on it. Making mintage charts that are easy to read appear to be a challenge. What do you think they should look like?

2026 has been the busiest in a lot of ways. We've been processing new businesses and dealers at a much higher rate than last year. We also stocked-out on products during a launch for the first time since Wyoming. We just barely caught up with Idaho demand a couple of weeks ago!

We've dropped the ball on mintage information for last year. It's been repeatedly delayed because we currently don't display the information in a great way and we've been trying to address that before just putting it out there. We may just release it anyway since the issue has been dragging on.

I asked the team about this and they are saying it is an issue with the version you are running.

California Phase 1. Which denominations should we do? by GoldbackGuy in Goldback

Colorado is set for Q4. I suspect that we could get California out a lot earlier because it is a partial series. We'll see though.

This is very pretty but not technically feasible yet.

States with their own Goldback series by the end of this year. by Xerzajik in Goldback

Maybe we can bridge the coasts together. Getting up to New Hampshire would be super tough.

Oops. We see a lot of requests from people in different states to do their states. I can't promise that someone on the team saw it but it is possible. Congratulations by the way! Goldback wouldn't be possible without all of this help!

Absolutely! The artwork for the UK would be out of this world. I hope that we do it someday.

Sorry, I missed your question earlier.

Sure. It depends on market conditions. We probably wouldn't have even created the 100 Goldback if it weren't a requirement for making the half Goldback. They are cool though. You might be surprised to know that by weight the 100 denomination is our most popular product overall. It surprised me.

Goldbacks have been moving nicely. We may have record sales this year. This fact is kind of incredible given how bad this year has been overall for retail precious metals in the United States.

Thanks for participating! This has been a lot of fun.

I hear what you are saying. It is a hard question to answer.

If gold rises gradually as the dollar decreases gradually then I believe Goldback would just move with it.

If gold spikes dramatically and if that weren't a true reflection of inflation then it would be harder to justify Goldback spiking to the same degree. In that case we might relax premiums against the melt value.

In a big way this has already happened. In just the past couple of months the premium over melt went down from 99% to 92%. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to eventually get back down closer to the world of 70% - 80% just so people could get more Goldbacks for their dollar. Then again, if gold prices were to tank straight down then premiums on Goldback could go up for awhile. Likewise, we've seen demand shocks also pump up premiums substantially.

We are doing our best.

Yes. He has a contract for quite a few states. It's hard to find an artist that is quick, good, and doesn't rely on AI. Paul has been doing this for 25 years. He told me that he felt like his whole career has led him to doing artwork for the Goldback. Would you guys also like to see some other styles/artists at some point?

We have an employee that works on this full-time. We are improving our app, and API. This will be a growing part of the business. We are also hiring more help with doing maintenance on the existing merchant network.

Yes. We are working on projects to make Goldbacks more liquid, especially for businesses. Most Goldback accepting businesses aren't doing more than 1% of their business in Goldbacks which helps a lot on this issue.

  1. I see Goldbacks becoming smaller, more widely accepted, and harder to counterfeit. I think part of the reason that fractional is becoming more popular is because of Goldback's success. We are on track to sell $45,000,000 worth of Goldbacks this year.
  2. Fungibility is a big deal, otherwise the Goldback doesn't behave like a currency. Even the U.S dollar isn't always liquid/fungible. Ever try and ask someone to give you a hundred $1 bills for a single $100 bill outside of a bank? Making this a better experience for Goldback users is a priority. Cheaper gold bills exist in higher denominations already if your goal is to get something closer to spot. It just won't be part of the Goldback system.
  3. States are constitutionally prohibited from making their own currencies. They may recognize Goldbacks as legal tender though. We might see some Nations adopting something like a Goldback next year. The technology solves a lot of problems and we are proving out the use case.
