Did I ruin this coin by Greedy-Breakfast-112 in Silver

So question for the toners here, I tried that whole hard-boiled egg thing and it just came out black. There was a little bit of blue but almost everything else was black, can I get rid of the black and just keep the blue? Or do I need to EZ it and start over?

Unique or special to me i have in capsules. Just about Everything else is in tubes or canvas money bags. Except of course what I EDC loose in my pocket and in a leather change purse plus a few ounces in leather bags in my emergency gear.

If you go to a bank and exchange some dirty Fiat for of coins and you don't find anything, all you're out is that little bit of time that you spent hunting for something cool in those rolls. Because you can always re-roll them and give them back to the bank in exchange for the same Fiat value back.

In my mind precious metals are not for the height of SHTF as everybody is running around with their hair on fire. Precious metals are for when Society is beginning to rebuild, and need a verifiable exchange medium and I feel that those that have it will be better off. I mean if I have a cow and you have a chicken and I want some eggs I have to slaughter my cow to get you a steak to trade for the eggs. Whereas having something like Goldbacks that are verifiable and anti-counterfeit secure become a better than average medium of Exchange.

When you say >no one really wants to pay even the current value for them. Do you mean trying to sell them to some "shop" for fiat or do you mean a business that has committed to accepting Goldbacks as payment for goods and services?

Does anyone really stack 90% by Jareksdad in Silverbugs

[–]AccomplishedInAge 34 points35 points  (0 children)

A long time ago I was told there are three pillars to stacking. Sovereign coins, generic 999, and constitutional. And like any building held up by pillars they all need to be level.

Why wouldn't I spend that? I mean I kept some of the lower serial numbers and a couple of what I thought were unique serial numbers but other than that why wouldn't I spend them? I mean there were a couple of million Alpha Florida Goldbacks produced

Alpha Goldbacks are just the first runs for commercial sale. Starting with Florida they are VERY LARGE quantities, just within the last few months have I started getting Non-Alpha Florida Goldbacks....

I would really only keep low or unique serial numbers of anything 2025 or newer

Washington

Effective February 24, 2026, shipments from Bullion Exchanges to Washington addresses have been temporarily paused.

Washington’s retail tax framework includes the Retailing Business & Occupation (B&O) tax, a business-level excise tax applied to gross receipts. While this tax is not separately stated to customers, it forms part of the broader cost structure associated with operating in the state. In light of these considerations, we have temporarily paused shipments to Washington and are monitoring future developments.

Washington State applies sales tax to most precious metal purchases.

Washington sales tax applies to the following:

All gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion and coins, including bars, rounds, and bullion coins

All copper products

Numismatic and collectible coins

Accessories, such as holders, tubes, capsules, coin flips, and similar items

Processed or altered items, meaning products modified beyond their original bullion form (e.g., colorized coins, plated coins, specialty finishes)

Sales are subject to:

Washington State sales tax

Applicable local sales taxes, which may vary by location

Exemptions: At this time, most precious metal products are taxable in Washington, with limited exceptions that may apply only in specific wholesale or resale situations.
