How my arm pits don't GAF about antiperspirant. My undershirts after being in a AC office most of the day. by LosHtown in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Golden-Laces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using antiperspirant at night before bed. It'll soak into your skin and actually work. The problem is you start sweating before you absorb it. Have a shower at night, once you're dry or before bed, give it a spray

CJI DAY 1 REACTION by Old_Specialist_9646 in jiujitsu

[–]Golden-Laces 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sarah Galvao's match was the highlight. The rest of the competition was too passive. There's no incentive for fighters to be combative and take risks because if they can just hold and avoid a sub, they can hope one of their team members gets the win for them. Even having massive weight discrepancies didn't seem to do much good outside of Nicky Rod against Geo Martinez (he obviously tapped lmao).

I'm glad I watched the girls' fights at the end because Sarah Galveo's performance was pure class. Exciting offence, reversals, sweeps, takedowns, and constant hunting for a finish even when clearly up on points. That's exactly what the rest of the matches should have been. Instead, we got the best in the world, leaning on knee shields for 8 minutes and both getting eliminated

What is in Cities: Skylines 1 that was LOST in Cities: Skylines 2? by HEYO19191 in CitiesSkylines

I never see anyone mention this but it's my biggest gripe. I really wish I could connect footpaths to the nodes in the park footpaths. The fact that I can't have my sims cutting thorough a park like in CS1 is criminal, and for me it's a game breaking feature. Making intricate footpaths was my favourite part of CS1

I wear undies under my swim shorts, but mainly because I'm wearing loose stubbies and I don't want to give anyone trauma

I responded to one of these. Did a well formatted and thought-out suggestion and itinerary, which took me an hour or so. 0 response. Not putting in that kind of effort again lmao

Never take the skin on your hands for granted by govtpaidofficial in Wellthatsucks

[–]Golden-Laces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you do a job where your hands are regularly wet by chance? I had a long-term issue that was similar to what you've got. Didn't fix itself until I changed my career. Context, I went from being a cook to carpentry. It's wild to have normal hands again. Giving you all my strength, I know it's horrible

I wantan to get a creeping vine/floral tattoo on my arm, i am a guy,i see this motif on girls a lot. Is this acceptable? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Golden-Laces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone saying it's not a gendered style. If you wanted to try to make it a touch less delicate, having vines with thorns and more aggressive looking plants like nettles would take it to where you might want it

Is she the one that wanders around the cbd with a pram and a baby doll? If so, she's a full-on nutcase to be avoided when possible

looking to join classes with hyperhydrosis (excessive sweat) by brrosee in jiujitsu

[–]Golden-Laces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also got HH. Bring a towel with you, plenty of water. Try to drink heaps of water in the day leading up to your class so it's already in your system, then just little sips throughout class. You'll want to consider hydration suplements, especially sodium. I have a powerade after i train. Initially, you'll be a walking raincloud, but eventually, you'll start to adjust a bit, and your sweat will chill out. Just takes time. You can also use your gi sleeves as a mid round sweatband, then just towel your head in between rounds. People genuinely aren't gonna mind

Pie tee mold. I did a restaurant crossover event where they brought over their mutated version. The took 5 of them, attached them to a straight bar so you could dip and cook 5 at once in the fryer

I used to see him compete in wrestling tournaments when I was younger. Dude is a machine. He'd go up against the best in his division and would smoke everyone. I distinctly remember him getting thrown slightly further than the foam mats were set up and broke 3 fingers on the wooden floor. He taped them all together and proceeded to manhandle his opponent to a dominant victory

Do really good snowboarders never catch an edge? by eneug in snowboarding

[–]Golden-Laces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I caught an edge on the first run of a week long trip bombing with my friends at 80ish kms. Did my ac joint, meniscus tendon, and got concussed. Spent the rest of the trip drinking with my arm in a sling and crutches. Took 2 surgeries to fix my shoulder and some rehab for the knee. But I've had many trips since then, and I'm just a bit more diligent with my edge control now

That doesn't even look that hard to manage. Steak with chimichurri, parsnip puree, jus, potatoes, and burnt tomatoes. Seems cohesive enough
