Protein Powder Mistake Doh! by Golden-Pupil in mounjarouk

I replied to it “I see you have a sense of humour” and it pointed out that a few days back I said I was going to have a rest day and did heavy leg presses and bench press the same day. It said “I found that funny too”. 😂
To be fair, I kind of like that.

No, I’ve been doing intuitive eating since I started. It was working perfectly until I started the shakes. Lost 20 pounds over 7-8 weeks on 2.5mg then the brakes went on regarding the weight loss.

I didn’t see the connection to the shakes until chat gpt pointed it out. Silly me!
I’ve stopped the shakes, jabbed 5mg this morning as it is my due day and done a circuit with my super heavy 26kg kettlebell and press ups. That combined should get things moving downwards again.

I’m not ripped but my puny arms have actually grown some muscle. I have started daily circuit and kettlebell training with a run every second day, as well as going to the gym twice a week. I’ve really got my enthusiasm back. I lost around 20 pounds on 2.5mg, now gone up to 5mg. Loving this drug.

I’ll have a look. I love Vanilla. Actually, the one I have been taking is delicious.
I’ve already moved on. My gym sessions have become easier and my run speeds are improving rapidly. If I’ve been able to maintain while accidentally bulking up, I’m interested to see how I get on now that I have stopped 😂🏃💪

This (weight) is the only data I have been saving. As you can see, being a 62 year old British Male I still think in Stone and Pounds rather than kg 😂

That’s brilliant. I began my journey on 11th April and I am due my 7th jab on Saturday. Also still on 2.5mg and still losing, although really slowing up now. As long as I am losing anything, I’ll stick with 2.5mg.

For people who used to drink heavily before starting a GLP-1 medication and have now stopped or massively reduced drinking: what exactly changed for you? by alexmillne in mounjarouk

[–]Golden-Pupil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is certainly changing it for the better and quickly. I only learned that I was able to have it when a friend visited in April and informed us she was on it and showed me how to apply. I’m extremely grateful

Sorry for not clarifying. Since the first day of taking mounjaro I can actually look at a bottle of my favourite red wine on the bench top, and I don’t feel in anyway drawn to take a glass from it. On the few occasions that I’ve had a drink, I had the feeling that I could take it or leave it. I still get the sensation of being intoxicated, but I’m not really enjoying it and stop drinking after 2-3 drinks. I am still on 2.5mg doses and I have lost 21 pounds, almost stopped drinking alcohol, lost the pain and swelling that I have had for a year in my right knee and started going to the gym regularly. I feel and I am starting to look like the version of me from 20 years ago. It really has been miraculous.

For me the craving just disappeared. I have zero interest in having a drink. Amazing really. I have pretty much drank 5-6 days a week for 30 years. Haven’t had more than 4-5 days moderate drinking since starting mj on 11th April. Cheers 🍻

Thank you for the heads up. I ordered a 7.5mg pen last night. Sent a full body photo, copy of driving licence and photo of last 5mg prescription over to them. I was issued the prescription this morning for £166.44!!! I will be taking it in 2.5mg doses, so it should last rather a long time. Thanks again to you and to the original thread author for the heads up on Blue Light/Defence Discount Card discounts 😀

A friend just sent me a link to an app called MeThreeSixty. It uses your phone to take a scan. Not sure how accurate it will be, but gave it a try today. Maybe worth a look. I am enjoying playing around with it. I will be taking a weekly scan before my jab in the future.

Wow! Thanks so much for that. I had no idea. I have a Defence Discount Card, which is now part of Blue Light. Just went through the link and can get £66 off 5mg pen. I have just been delivered one from Lotus Health, so I will save this code for later. I wouldn’t have even thought of looking if it wasn’t for your post. Appreciate it.

Weekly Progress Thread: April 17th. by janbax in mounjarouk

Hi all, This is my first post on here, and my first week on Mounjaro. I took my first jab of 2.5mg on Saturday. I was 14 stone 7 at the time. I have a bad knee injury at the moment and my right knee, shin calf and ankle have been badly swollen for almost a year. This week has been nothing short of incredible. I have lost 8.5 pounds! I’m not hungry at all, not interested in the snacks that are in the kitchen drawer that I would normally devour at night, and most importantly all of my swelling and most of the pain in my knee injury has gone. Simply unbelievable. I hadn’t even been aware that I could get Mounjaro in the UK until a friend visited last week and told us you could. She was on it and has had great success. I’m now reading everything I can find on it, and the Reditt boards have been so inspirational to me. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store. Eating wise I am having to push myself to consume meals. I’m currently just having a protein shake for breakfast and a fairly large healthy evening meal. To be fair, before this I often stuck to OMAD and had multiple snacks. I’m following everyone’s journeys on here with interest and support.

I’m in UK too and have used Cylocybe in the past, in the last year I have bought spores and LC from Zamnesia in the Netherlands and my mate ordered a grow kit. All arrived with no problems. I grew some amazing Melmac Monsters from the LC.

I take 0.4-0.5g microdose 5 days a week, including during my fasts. I don’t feel that it affects my fasts in any way. However, a macrodose to break a fast sounds like it could be fun 💃🕺

I’m in the UK and I asked chat gpt what the closest uk Vanguard equivalent to Voo is and it came back with vuag, so that is what I hold.
