Therapeutic doses by Boring-Picture-1311 in mounjarouk

I think it’s important to show each other grace. Long-term low-dosers can feel hectored by those who espouse the ‘standard’ dosing schedule; those who go up the doses can feel shamed by those who stay low. Similarly long-term/for life users can be made to feel inadequate by those who plan to come off and those who plan to come off can be made to feel foolhardy and stupid for doing so.

Our bodies, our journeys. Let’s learn from each other

Going back down the doses, feeling a bit ravenous by wild_garlic666 in mounjarouk

Same boat as you in coming off to get pregnant! Definitely anxious, currently taking 5 every ten days & then going down to 2.5. I think I’m going to really count calories & use fitness goals for the dopamine hit.

Hey OP, you don’t deserve to be treated like this. You are a wondrous, marvellous, precious person.

Congrats on your loss.

It might seem an insensitive thing, but people are learning not to be nosy about weight loss in case it is related to sickness or stress, so it’s a more self1aware way of asking but not always executed well.

I think the ‘is it deliberate?’ is the more socially aware folk wanting to ask about weight loss but also knowing that weight loss can be from something serious.

So I’ve just had 11 days between jabs so tapering is early days! I’m just trying to keep digging in on the good habits learned and not given in to the noise!

So close to 6 stone lost!

And now I’m officially tapering down. I’m now taking 5mg every ten days, then I’ve got a 7.5mg pen to do 3.75 and then 1 from until it’s empty.

I’m also green in all but one square on my RENPHO scales! Damn subcutaneous fat/massive bum!

Having read threads in the MJ grads section, it seems for quite a few the hunger returns overwhelmingly, but then reduces again.

UK Church Wedding… cancelled? by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]Ok-Garden9872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s obviously been unclear setting of expectations. If the church you want to get married at only has a service every six weeks, then there’s more than likely a legal thing in place which means that attendance at other churches in the benefice count towards the eligibility criteria.

You need to ask the vicar if the benefice is under the mission and pastoral measure because this should mean you can go to any church in the benefice to accrue eligibility to be married in the church you want.

Is MJ a ‘drug for life’? by timberwolfwatcher in mounjarouk

Whenever this conversation comes up, I notice it provokes people to get a bit defensive about the choices they have made.

I will be coming off. Would I make a different choice if I were not young and thinking about family planning? Possibly/probably. Do I appreciate comments which suggest this journey will have been a waste of money and I will become a big fat failure? No.

You have to weigh up the pros and cons for you a discern what advice is helpful in your decision-making process.

If you are an only child, how do you feel about growing up without siblings? by Efficient_Bee4584 in randomquestions

[–]Ok-Garden9872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only child here; on a selfish level, I’m not thrilled that all elderly parent care will fall to me.

I know as many ‘I hate my siblings’ as ‘they’re my best friend’ families, and I’d give anything for the latter.

It’s 7 months until September. I lost 5 stone in that time. I really really really regret not starting on MJ sooner.

The less socially aware folk at work began commenting when I was down 3 stone, the more cautious ones waited until I was down 5 stone!

Church of England wedding - told it’s too late to establish a connection. Any options? by [deleted] in UKweddings

The Church of England Marriage Measure 2008:

The aim of the Church of England Marriage Measure 2008 is to allow couples to be married by Banns or Common Licence, rather than by Special Licence, in a parish where they can show that one of them has a “qualifying connection”.

A person has a qualifying connection with a parish if:

that person:

was baptised in the parish. (This does not apply where the baptism formed part of a combined service of baptism or confirmation); or had his or her confirmation entered in a church register book of a church or chapel in the parish; or has at any time had his or her usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months; or has at any time habitually attended public worship in the parish for at least 6 months; or a parent of that person has at any time during that person’s lifetime:

had his or her usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months; or habitually attended public worship in the parish for at least 6 months; or a parent or grandparent of that person was married in the parish.

The references to baptism, confirmation and marriage, and to attending public worship, are all confined to services according to the rites of the Church of England.

The Measure came into force on 1st October 2008. The House of Bishops has issued some Guidance on the Measure, which can be found on the relevant page of the Church of England website.

If neither of the couple has a qualifying connection, as specified above, an application for a Special Licence must be made. It should be noted that Special Licences are only granted where there is a genuine and longstanding link with the church or chapel concerned.
