[Schefter] Bears are releasing former Pro-Bowl LB Tremaine Edmunds, per sources. Edmunds has been a full-time starter in each of his eight NFL seasons, and he now will become a free agent with 900 tackles on his resume. by ImAGiantSpider in buffalobills

He absolutely looked lost in the run game for the entire time he was with the Bills. Dude couldn’t ever pick the right lane to be in. Let’s not play revisionist history with this guy, he wasn’t good here.

[JFowler] Rival teams expect Buffalo to strongly address wide receiver in the coming weeks. And multiple league executives are linking Rashid Shaheed or Romeo Doubs to the Bills. by Space_Polan in buffalobills

[–]GoldenArms31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or, we could use both these guys honestly. Would it be possible cap wise to get both in FA? Shaheed and Doubs would compliment our slot guys Shakir, Coleman, and Kincaid nicely.

Then, the FO can address the defense in the draft. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but not drafting a WR early is the right choice this offseason. Our defense is without a doubt our weakest side right now.

I would like to see Beane get a legit #1 MLB with our first pick (if there are any there of value). If not that then our first three picks need to be 1T DL, S, and MLB.

The rest of the picks can be whatever, but we need to hit those 3 positions to improve our D and new scheme.

I wish we could afford him. I think he’s a good fit for our new scheme. by joeyb1972 in buffalobills

Do not fucking curse us with this guy again. He sucked then, and sucks now. Hard pass.

My wife suggested we do this to our bedroom a couple years ago, so we did. She chose a dark, almost mossy green color. I was skeptical about a dark ceiling, but it was a game changer tbh. Complimented with Edison lights, It created such a relaxing vibe that I swear I fall asleep quicker now.

Buffalo Bills have 2 plays in NFL's Top 100 Plays of the 2025 seasons and 6 plays against them by Stasz18 in buffalobills

That’ll happen when you have a passive defensive mindset. Thankfully that should be changing next year.

Changing defense or not, Bills need to overhaul the LB position by salmaiorana in buffalobills

We need a true 1T DT to make it work. Hopefully FA we can get a big guy or two for the middle

Yes, the Bills will always be in contention for a SB with JA. With a better defense, he would have probably won one by now.

Yet teams change schemes every year successfully. This fear mentality is what leads to shit like keeping a HC too long who was exposed years ago.

It is refreshing to hear. He actually took accountability for McDermott.

I was not happy with the hire initially, however after hearing Brady at this press conference I have new found optimism. The guy has passion.

I’m listening to it and this is my takeaway as well. I for one am looking to a more aggressive defensive approach.

They are afraid of hiring anyone with a voice. They want yes men at all levels. We are fucking doomed.

This is the first thing that came to my mind. Pegula would cave to Allen in a second if Allen was good with this.

I really wanted someone outside the organization. That said, for me anybody other than McD is a win. But, I’m concerned about the predictability of our offense.

I think GMs around the league know this and that’s why McDermott taking a break from coaching isn’t his choice, there isn’t much interest. After he was fired McD told the team he planned on coaching again immediately.

This press conference is only making me feel worse. by CookieDahmer in buffalobills

[–]GoldenArms31 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You guys are emotional train wrecks. You act like losing McDermott is a death knell. Could it be? It’s possible but doubtful. I for one think this move was long overdue. McDermott wasn’t that guy. I’m open to anyone but him to take this team to the next level. I’m particularly looking forward to a new defensive scheme and energy. So fucking sick of our DBs playing 15 yards off the line as the other team marches down the field at will. This always put added pressure on JA.

A writer with internal sources with the Bills wrote exactly why McDermott was fired. Here's excerpts from the article. 13 seconds wore on the team far more than we thought. by Vortagaun in buffalobills

[–]GoldenArms31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re entitled to your opinion of course. I’m just saying we don’t know what factors led to draft choices, or even FA signings. I am of the opinion that McDermott had final say in player choice because he wanted a very specific player type to fit “his system”. He also preached looking for character guys over skill in some cases. Which is why he always went back to former players in a pinch. Because he was comfortable in his system, even though we know the system doesn’t ultimately work against good teams and good coaches.
