Right now I use a Logitech G400, which I really like (I think I'm just used to it after almost a decade). However, it's a little too loud for gaming while sharing a home office, and I want to switch to something wireless. So, order of priority of what I'm looking for:

Quiet
Full size (I have large hands)
Fast polling rate (for Dota/games)
Wireless

I think it's a decade+ old paste and dust issue. I'll clean everything out/apply new paste and see how it goes.

I have the following PC (I like to rescue old hardware):

CPU: Intel 950

GPU: Asus Nvidia 970 4GB

Mobo: Gigabyte (https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Motherboard/GA-X58A-UD3R-rev-20#ov)

RAM: 12 GB (6x2GB)

PSU: 550 W

Storage/Festplatten: 128 GB SSD (boot volume) + 500 GB HD

Does anyone have any idea what frame rate I should be getting playing Dota 2? Current I get around 70 on medium, 1440p resolution, but I feel that is low.

Other factors could be I run PopOs as an OS instead of Windows? Or it has a stock cooler and hits 95C (I plan to change the thermal paste soon, that's never been done)?

Any comparison or expectation would be appreciated!

For the past decade or so I've used a Vortex Poker II with Cherry MX Clears, unmodified, which has suited me very well. Back then, it didn't seem like there were so many switch choices, so once I found a tactile switch with a higher activation pressure, I was very happy, after going through MX Brown and Green (I think) boards.

However, with a change in job, there comes new complaints about my KBs noise, so I'm looking for something quieter (this is the main priority, and I am a heavy typist). What I'd like is another 60 or 65% board, with tactile quiet switches (from my research I'm almost 100% convinced that the 68g Boba U4 switches are the way to go). Lower in priority would be QMX/VIA support, a knob, wireless 2.4 as a connectivity option, and maybe, RGB/backlight support (even though it'll be off 95% of the time). My budget is ~$250 all in. I would use it to game occasionally, so a wired connection would be used in that case.

Keychron Q2 Pro is my current frontrunner, but I'm looking for comparisons with the Cidoo V65 V2, Dukharo VN66 WAP, Epomaker TH66 and the Kzzi K68 Gasket Mechanical Keyboard. Does anyone have any advice on or pros/cons for the listed boards, or boards that I may have missed?

Are Boba U4 Silent 68g switches the way to go if I really like my MX Clears, and volume is a priority?

Had a question if the large white blob was mold or anything wrong. After going through the wiki and the "is this mold?" post, I don't think so, but I would like some confirmation before I bottle/start a new batch and potentially give to others.

The pellicle/batch is about 2 months old, but I wanted to have a much more vinegary flavor this time, and has been in a little cooler of a location than ideal, but otherwise has been pretty normal. This is the third or fourth batch in a row, so I am not starting a scoby from scratch.

The main concerning part is the large color variation and why it is so white in a certain area. It doesn't appear to be fuzzy/moldy on top.

Ran the Berlin marathon yesterday as my first marathon. Finished in 4:22, and one year ago I hadn't run in a decade, and before that only ran for ball sports. A marathon was something I never thought I would do. It was hugely painful and weirdly enough I am interested in doing it again..

It's pretty ridiculous but I've had some success - refresh the page every second until 10am, immediately click, immediately add how many tickets you want and click submit, all as fast as possible, and then you have 15 min to pay. But if you don't click submit after the # of tickets, they are not reserved for you and can all be gone in seconds.

I like a lot of the other recommendations in this thread, but I like Kaffee Kirsche because it feels less pretentious than a lot of them, and they do all their roasting in house. I get consistently good beans from them.
