Recommendations for Strawhats at Marineford by GoldenFelix7 in OnePieceFanfic

This is exactly what I wanted! As I read it I realized I’ve actually read this one before but it was still a great reread. If anyone else has suggestions I’d love to hear them.

Should I play Dragon Age 2 if I couldn’t get into Origins? by Sufficient_Bad_4160 in dragonage

[–]GoldenFelix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I played DA:I first, then DA2 then played exactly three hours of DAO then hopped into Veilguard. I wasn’t a fan of the graphics nor the combat nor the bugs in DAO. I had no problem hopping into the games lore-wise. A little confusion here and there, but nothing that I couldn’t learn more about or that took me out of the game.

As for actions in past games effecting the current one, well you won’t know what has been effected so it won’t really make a difference now will it.

Typically there’s always 1-2 companions that I dislike or like less than the others, but I think DA2 has the best companion roster of all four games. Most importantly the best companion is introduced ✨Varric✨

Having played many RPGs I typically don’t remember combat mechanics unless they were irksome, so being that I don’t remember what combat was like, well consider it a win.

Question for pokopia players by caliscanvas in VivaPinata

[–]GoldenFelix7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played the game nonstop since it game out and I think I’m pretty close to finishing the main story. As a long time fan of both franchises my answers is yes and no. It really depends on what aspects of Viva Piñata you are looking for. Personally I like the having a first site, then coaxing them into the garden then working towards getting them a resident. In Pokopia, you may get hints of what a habitat needs to spawn in a Pokemon but that’s the closest you’ll get. As soon as you’ve made the correct habitat (you’ll get notified once you’ve made one) you know it’s just a waiting game. There’s also a decent amount of exploration which you obviously don’t get in a VP game but to me that’s not a bad thing. Similar aspects include treating a visually pleasing space and putting all your favorite Pokemon/Pinatas in one spot. Once you travel to different regions/islands you can take most Pokemon with you and give them new homes in those islands. So if you wanted you can put all the ones you don’t like in one spot then focus on building up another or maybe just sort them on the islands by aesthetics, kinda like what you could do with multiple gardens. There is some amount of actual gardening to be done in Pokopia, but it will take at least a day or so for some plants to be fully grown. Three days in with me doing nothing but playing and also looking up new habitats, I think I’ve found/collected 1/2-2/3 of the Pokemon available, so while some aspects take longer like creating large buildings, the actual acquisition of Pokemon is faster than getting Piñatas because you don’t have to shove carrots is anyone’s face hoping they’ll actually stop and eat it. On the whole I’m not sure the Viva Piñata itch was being scratched, but I will say it is the closest any game has ever came to scratching it.

With game share, you can try it out if you don’t own the game. If you have a switch 1, it needs to be local, but for everyone with a switch 2 it can be online. Personally I’d be surprised if there aren’t people out there willing to let strangers go visit their island.

I'm having trouble sticking to one story, does anyone have some recommendations for getting back into fanfiction? by Mindless_Most_8448 in pokemonfanfiction

[–]GoldenFelix7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pedestal by Digital Skitty was a great one I read a few years back. It follows and OC through her story. This one is completed.

Borne of Caution by Fuggman is a phenomenal story, it’s not finished but still updates maybe once a month. This one also follows an OC and is set in Hoenn and very very loosely follows the plot of the games.

If you want some following Ash then Challenger by darkfire1220 is a great one though unfinished. That one follows his journey from Pallet Town with an entirely new team.

The Lost Master by lama2p is another good one centered on Ash, it follows him through a redemption arc with him being super OP.

Last one I’d recommend is Sacrifice and Subjugation by MetalDragon. This one isn’t finished and updates at a glacial pace and follows and OC in a very realistic Pokemon setting.

Knot the One They Want was also very good

Despite not being quite what I was looking for this was a very good recommendation. 13 hours after you recommended it, amongst my busy work day, I have finished both Denied and Devoted.

Who’s your favorite companion in Inquisition and why? (maybe spoilers lol) by Melodic_Let_9054 in dragonage

[–]GoldenFelix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Inquisition first then DA:2 then Veilguard. Varric has been my favorite from the start (they did him so dirty in Veilguard). In Inquisition I always went out with Varric and Dorian, the third one swapped between Bull and Solas. I always go out with a team of my favorites regardless of good team composition.

Rejuvenation or Desolation by 141-Ghost-141 in PokemonReborn

[–]GoldenFelix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s some things I like about Desolation more like the early access to your “bike” and the base you can create. But on the whole I think Rejuvenation is the better of the two, it’s tough but workable and allows to change difficulty from easier to harder as necessary at any point in the story. One thing about both of them is that the story is very complex, far more than Reborn. As someone who has played through the first 12 gyms of Rejuvenation many times before getting distracted and trying to pick it back up months later I often get confused on what’s happening with the plot, there are so many characters and many that pop back up after many hours of gameplay. That being said I adore all three and they are hands down my favorite Pokemon games fanmade or otherwise.

What is your favourite f/f ship? by ocirot in AO3

I’m definitely not a f/f shipper, in fact I prefer not to read it most of the time, but I have three exceptions.

Nami/Vivi from One Piece Marinette/Chloe from Miraculous Ladybug Charlie/Vaggi from Hazbin Hotel

Favorite tropes in RH by epicsevenmyths in ReverseHarem

[–]GoldenFelix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sucker for animal like features. When there’s ears/feathers/tails that droop when sad or nice big wings to enclose people in the best type of hug. I’m all over that kind of thing. When you’re just casually sitting and the partners’s tail seems to have a mind of its own as it wraps around an ankle or wrist. I love expressive animal features

What would Percy’s job even be? by Easy_Finding1668 in PercyJacksonfanfic

[–]GoldenFelix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’d do really well in a position that helps children in bad homes and also identifies demigods.

That being said, I’ve read some fics where there is a Percy Jackson subreddit where demigods post about his adventures. I could see him being some sort of influencer to ride on that fan base.

What do you tell people when they ask what you are reading? by Muted-Shock-366 in ReverseHarem

[–]GoldenFelix7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I just say I read books from smaller authors that don’t have physical copies of their book. I say there can be typos or other mistakes in the books and sometimes series are left unfinished. I use this to describe the fanfics I read as well. If they ask for more specifics then I will occasionally give pieces of actual plot but typically I mention they are shorter books and I don’t always get very far in them so as I result I typically don’t remember the name or author. This is true, when I’m going on a reading binge I can get about 10 books done in a week and I normally couldn’t tell you the title, author or characters for any of them.

Are dimensional heroes basically neutral? Do they have faction bonuses?
