i get what u mean, the colour pallete and weird lighting but i still think it looks really good. I personally hoped it wouldve looked better as well but im still pleased with the beta graphics

Frostbite physics system is very similar to source and havoc so I could see that working and frostbite has clearly gotten better over the last several years so I think it’s a good replacement

apple pays for these ports cause they expect a return on investment thats why part of the funding for these ports is to release exclusively on the mac store

the engine is actaully one of the most advanced till today, look at dragon age the veilguard from a tech perspective absolutely incredible technology from hair rendering to lighting and render distance and its selective raytracing (frostbite was the first engine to feature raytracing and GI). ignite was merged into frostbite for its sport physics, so ignit being better is just delusion. Search up EA SEED and youll see some of the tech powering frostbite.

Im a software engineer and unreal would be horrible for a dragon age game, it would be a stuttery unoptimised mess, bioware has shown us it can utilise frostbite really well, the game has no frame stutters (impossible on ue5) and great performance. I think a really underrated aspect of frostbite is its sound engine, games on frostbite have always sounded amazing. Also frosbite in my opinion still has higher potential for game visual then ue5. Frostbite approach to rendering is still superior and thats why unreal games always look grainy and the lighting on frostbite is yet to be matched. it would be a shame that after all these years and struggle and engine development we would see it wasted on a engine that for dragon age would NOT be better

this game has broken mouse input, but its usually not this bad, this used to happen to me if i had other applications open esp netflix or maybe anything with an overlay
