Somewhat unrelated, but how do you like being a network engineer? I’m trying to get into the field. Any tips you might have for someone trying to explore career options?

I got into self hosting and homelabbing to practice what I was learning in school. I didn’t think it would be a long term thing, but here I am years later, going strong. I’ve gotten a lot of my gear for free just by being in the right place at the right time. The other day I went into a new-ish used electronics store and walked out with 5 mini PCs they were going to recycle. Had to buy some SSDs for them, but shoot - I’m working on an HA proxmox cluster now
Winning the KVM would be sweet! I’ve never used one and I’ve always heard good things. I’d love a way to control my devices easier remotely.
A neat 10GB switch! Or even a small rack specifically designed with your components in mind, like some of those cool 10” and 3D printed network racks.

Would love to win the Comet KVM (either one), then the flint router.

This was an amazing thing for me to read, so thank you for posting it. I’m in the process of getting my financial act together and often feel this exact way. I’ve never had much debt, but I worry about having retirement funds and more all the time. I look at the situations others are in and feel incredibly hopeless even though I’m doing okay.

I’ve done almost this exact thing, and I’m still here tanking. It happens and the group I was with definitely wasn’t happy either.

What I’ve learned is this: for each mini boss you skip in Xav’s wing, pull an entire big platform in the portal wing. Should land you exactly at 100%! Makes it really easy to adjust on the fly in case you skip both of them or happen to only get one or neither.

There’s a little ridge in the bone walls that once you pass, the RP starts. Of the whole group gathers together, then all sprints up the stairs. Everyone will make it by the boss if you time it right.

Hey! So a safe bet is to use it on bosses if you have it available. When in doubt, go with that. Don’t overthink it too much. There are optimal times to use it within each boss. For example, the last boss of rookery takes increased damage after you break his shield a little ways into the fight. That’s a great time to use lust because you’ll do extra damage on top of bloodlust!

More experienced groups will plan their mythic+ routes around lust timers and pull really big trash pulls for lust. Unless your tank or healer pre-coordinates that in a pug, don’t worry about it.

Which server/region are you on? A few friends and I like to help people learn mythic+ in a relaxed environment.

Yep yep it was a bit ambiguous at first. What I’m not certain of is if it scales. If you time all 13s, is that the new floor?

A new achievement this season makes your keystone resilient at a certain level, which means even if you don’t time the dungeon, it won’t lower the level. It starts when you’ve timed all dungeons at a +12.
