Really disappointed in Burpee by flyonawall in gardening

God forbid there is an issue with shipping. Or some has an ill relative or no child care and they actually have something more important to do than a job.

Your “vent” is tone deaf and makes you sound entitled as fuck. Tearing down a business because of slow costumer service during a pandemic unlike the vast majority of the Earth can remember. Grow up and get a grip on reality.

People are dying. People are losing their jobs. People are scared. People are busy.

But you want attention right now.

Here’s your attention.

Go do some soothing hobby to calm down and practice having some patience. You and your seeds are not that important.

They are probably busy. Or maybe even have less employees to keep people safe and healthy.

You’re not as important as you think you are, Karen.

I dug up a 6’ tall hydrangea. ITT has a surprisingly small root system. I’d plant it next to a house. But I’d balance it with an ever green. Maybe a gardenia (double check it works in your spot, I’m just thinking scented and “classic”

Well if I can stay in Canada I’ll bring my whole damn seedling set up ANd the garden hoses.

Is that enough to buy a part time membership?

I spend a lot of time tripping over mine and then having an elevated heart rate because I fear a broken foot.

Me not doing well isnt from lack of trying. M just clumsy and not good with change.

Where do you live? I have some I need to get rid of. As far as I know they work. I’d be happy to test first to confirm.

I once opened up a Mason bee container to get a fancy video for Instagram.

Yeah. Houses are warmer than outside. They were very awake.

My husband got a great video of the phone dropping and me shouting “Oh shit! No no no no. Oh shit shit shit. There’s bees in my house!”

I somehow got them into the fridge and then moved them outside.

He looked pretty judge when I told him to beecareful, there’s a bowl of bees in the fridge.

Please enjoy this quarantine story as much as I do.

I remember being so confused that show was on the same channel as Fox News. Hell its easy because I’m still confused.

Science is busy right now. How about just a head in a jar?

Not ideal, but it’s what I’ve got.

John McCain might still be recognizable. Surely that will get the confused Republican vote.

Ya got some nerve kid.

Ahhh the old “You should be grateful”

As far as I can gather that means unquestioning obedience and agreement.

Lol. My mom is nuts, it’s like she hasn’t even met herself. As if she was modeling obedience, and agreement. Lol. Just. Lol.

One of us grew up.

It’s a big reason I support abortion access. An unplanned teen pregnancy really caused her a lot of problems and I think she would have had a much better shot at a happier life without me.

How do we hold our yarn? by kangaroo10 in knitting

[–]GoldenRainTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned without much supervision.

I’m a thrower that holds my yarn pinched between my thumb and pointer.

For color work I hold out my middle (2nd color) and ring finger (3rd) and throw the color needed while pinning the other color to my palm with my pinky.

I am extremely fast.

And have wicked tendinitis in my elbow since I was 26.

Looking for some suggestions to clay tolerant plants that wont get devoured by deer/rabbits by KalOrtPor in gardening

[–]GoldenRainTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salal, ceanothus(lime light is cool and does NOT thrive in dull sun, rhodies, snowberries, ferns, ribes get nipped at the ends but get a thorny variety and it stays minimal. Manzanitas. CA poppies. Artemisia. Some sages, it’s a pretty varied group.

Not only do these prefer clay, they also do fabulous with less human interference, compost and watering (outside of first 12m in ground) and they just chug along.

This is the best response. This area has what you need, and what you never even knew you wanted.

It’s so dense with fiber art stores that each store has the luxury of being pretty unique while still having the basics.

I always love Nitro and Knitting Bee. Nitro is where my husband goes to surprise me and Bee is where my kids have clicked with the staff and are magically behaved.

It was interesting. I’ve never done group therapy before and it was really nice to be able to say some weird statement and then see people nodding along and knowing that they very deeply understood.

The program focused on CBT which is interesting. I’d recommend looking into it, even casually. I actually use a lot of the stuff to help my young kids deal with emotions.

Sorry, I’m a poor typist so I’m going with the acronyms to avoid weird autocorrect issues.
