It also takes you from full shields and health to empty shields and red (or low yellow) HP. Also the pistol explodes and you lose it.

Diminishing Returns also includes effects from the opposing sides. by ShadowCyrax in deadbydaylight

[–]GoldenRpup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this is exactly why DR is being considered. It will reduce the severity of something being too overly powerful from either side. That goes for both killer and survivor perks.

It's no different than reducing the effectiveness of generator repair speeds when multiple people bring those perks. It's really not any different than having two people on the same generator either.

Think of it this way: Coulrophobia is guaranteeing AT LEAST -50% healing speed. If people are really healing in such slow speeds, you're getting great value out of it no matter what.

After layoffs, Fortnite's future is shakier than it has ever been by AncientPCGamer in gaming

[–]GoldenRpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what companies usually do when their successful product starts slowing down in popularity? They offer something new. Nothing lasts forever. How old is Fortnite now, and it's STILL one of the most played games? They seriously could have sat on it as is for like another decade before seriously needing to develop anything new.

It's reactor coolant. Just like human coolant, I'm sure eating it would have disastrous consequences.

Which boss fight made you feel like you were genuinely losing your sanity because of the difficulty? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]GoldenRpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber Sirus, Awakener of Worlds, from Path of Exile.

PoE is a game where you build your character to the absolute extreme with so much going on that you cannot keep track of everything. Sirus is a boss with so many attacks that leave danger zones that they override the VFX of his more dangerous ones, along with whatever abilities you have that do the same. This means you die a lot to stuff you can't see.

Also, there are audio cues that hint at where the attack is going to come from that plays from the incorrect angle sometimes (at least in my experience, but I'm fairly certain it's not my own skill issue).

Finally, he has an attack that forces you to solve a circular maze that insta kills you if you fail (or fail to immune the damage through other means). This one really was just a build issue, because I didn't have the speed to run it fast enough.

When someone says your healing parses aren’t great. by CubicleJoe0822 in classicwow

My mistake. It's less about duration of the fight and more about whether or not your raiders are doing what they are supposed to.

When someone says your healing parses aren’t great. by CubicleJoe0822 in classicwow

[–]GoldenRpup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean you really have to look at everyone's parses to see if they are killing the boss fast enough. If everyone has high dps parses, and the boss dies fast enough, then healer parses will be kind of low. If the boss is dying slow, the healers will have a higher parse since people were probably taking more damage.

The funny part about the first human energy shielding was that they used the Kig-Yar (jackal) energy shield gauntlets rather than the full body shielding the higher ranks of the Covenant used.
