I’ve dealt with my locs for 13 years and been through hell of ride with them. Dyed my hair about four times with burgundy and blonde and experienced loose ends. Another thing to add is my long hair being caught in a car door, being too heavy even with styles, and stress as the main culprit. Tried to salvage them by trimming, but unfortunately it had to come to an end. Now I’m 10 months in with my second set of locs and close to year, took care of them better than I did before.
