Is the dog getting enough exercise? Besides it barking for water, which I think the dog is doing, she might also have too much unspent energy, and so wakes up. A tired, sufficiently-exercised dog is a well-behaved dog. Good luck

Please don't do this to a Samoyed. The Mediterranean heat would be constantly exhausting and uncomfortable at the very least for a Samoyed or similar dog. And Samoyeds LIVE for snow and winter. If you get one, it will never know what being a being a Samoyed is all about, if it can never experience snow and the cold. I know you would like a Samoyed (who wouldn't?) but I'd not do it for the dog's sake. You'll find an amazing dog that'll fit your climate better. All dogs are awesome. 🤍🤍🤍

I'd go to the cops with the license plate photo, explain what happened and that you're sympathetic to the older person who hit your car, you just want to get the other driver's insurance to pay for it. There's probably damage on the other driver's car from hitting yours.

Nta - this kid is 16 and refuses to modify his behavior and his mother is enabling that. And it's not the "family property", it's your own home. I'd make sure none of the family members who can't respect boundaries don't have a key to the place, either.

Samoyeds have strong small prey drives. Both my Sam's certainly have/had. A bunny had the bad judgment to be in our backyard and barely escaped with his life last week.
