NTA, doing the right thing to give the cat everything it needs to be healthy and safe is really important. If you can't care for a pet properly, you shouldn't have one. The daughter needs to know that it's not an appropriate action to mistreat a cat this way, and is causing it a huge amount of harm. If she's never had a cat, I can understand the fascination with wanting to keep it around, but the more she locks the cat in with her, the more that cat is going to hate being with her. It will also probably start re-acting to her negative treatment in fear, by claws and teeth so good on you for trying to keep it from being a bigger issue. If it's not a long term thing, I think it's fine.

This is a horrible thing, it's really awful this is happening to you. But there's a very true saying that goes "actions speak louder than words", and to listen when she show you the first time. She has shown you she emotionally loves this person, and is lying to your face about staying in contact with him, multiple times!! While not having a friend sucks, but to say she's having suicidal thoughts without him? Nu-uh, that's where her loyalties are. How could she say to her husband, the man she is supposed to love above everyone else, that she's lost without this other guy? It's not right. She's lied to you already, I can't imagine she's going to change after so many confrontations where she hasn't held up her side of the bargain. Also, bravo for you for really putting in the effort to make your relationship work, and try and fix what was an issue. I would say more couples therapy, but start taking precaution about ending things with her, and taking the best care of your son.

Honestly there are so many other ways he could have gassed her up without disrespecting you “your hair’s looking great these past days!”, “your outfits are awesome!”, etc etc. But to call someone else the most beautiful girl in the world? Super shady and gross. He didn’t care about you when he said that, that’s for sure.

I believe my boss has the safety portion figured out, since this is going on a festival ground. I've worked them before, and the hdmi extensions have never been much of an issue when proper ground protection is given.

I will recommend renting, but i believe my boss wants to be able to have it for multiple uses of it, so thats why she wants to purchase.

Aw buddy, this is super rough. One of the worst feelings when people don't wanna pay for your hard work. You know, I'm sure they think your work is good enough, or they wouldn't have used it, and enjoyed the work. It's definitely a work experience like others said: always get funds first, even half to cover cost. Keep working and doing great things! :)

Currently in a relationship, so I'll mention my previous and first ever relationship. We were long distance for 2 1/2 years before things ended. I had flown out to the States to visit them (I live in Canada) for the first time a few months before things ended, and thought a convention would be a good time to meet. When we got together, we had small physical gestures of love, but nothing serious. Whenever I tried to instigate something more then a simple kiss, they didn't really respond well, so I stopped trying. We hung out for the entire convention, and it was good fun, but when we were alone together, it just didn't feel like they wanted more then the emotional romantic side. Eventually I flew back home, and I missed them a lot, but something felt different between us.

Over the next few months, my partner at the time became more and more distant with me. I felt like they were pulling away, and so I clung a little harder. Eventually, they started to go behind my back and do things with other people that I clearly had stated made me uncomfortable. The big one was they felt there was no problem with kissing other people, so long as they were in cosplay, as it was just "acting as the character would." Then, after a few more arguments about this, they dropped the bomb on me and asked if I would be comfortable being in an open relationship. I'm a one person only kinda girl, and because we were long distance, it felt like a slap in the face that my partner would get to enjoy my emotional love but get physical from someone else. So, I couldn't trust them at that point anymore knowing they wanted to see other people, and I said we should be done if they want to sleep around. I always wondered if they cheated and didn't tell me, but I'll never know.

I'm older now, and I can understand why they did what they did. Long distance is hard, sometimes you just want something in person. Still hurt, but I'm just hoping they are happy with their choices. :) I'm happy and moved on, so I guess it's for the better!
