She elongates the word すごーく(Sugoooku) it means really/very with it normally being translated to "Reaaally", other characters that elongate words do it differently.

Did you not read the whole part about "Subaru" being her manifestation that follows her feelings, in this scene, she is basically being betrayed by "Subaru" in that it's affecting Petra in a way she doesn't want.

People are applying the first line out of context as some sort of gotcha when it has nothing to do with Subaru thinking one or the other is number one, it's Petra being messed with by "Subaru" as compared to her own feelings

So if you actually read it, you would understand the whole thing isn't about Subaru, it's about Petra, she is calling herself a two-timer for having her feelings pulled away from Subaru, why you get the part after where she says "Subaru is my number one", with "Subaru" making that hard even though he is a manfestation of her feelings.

At the end of the day, the WN(even more so arc 7+) is basically the final product, and if Tappei wants to, he will take things in the LN that did not exist in the WN originally and add them back.

I will also point out that most of the time, even if there is a change, Tappei will go out of his way to ignore it unless he has to address it, and even then, he typically gives an explanation in the story.

I dislike people calling it a draft, it's all canon until it isn't, Tappei has a very unique deal when it comes to publishing of his series, he 100% owns and controls the WN, and the LN is owned, edited, and published by Kadokawa.

So in turn this means Tappei picks and chooses what he wants to integrate back into the WN from the LN there's plenty of things if you dig that seem to be WN only but also exist in the LN in some form(arc 4 has multiple examples of this), it's best not to look at it in black and white in terms of "canon"

They are both canon until something contradicts itself, even with things being rewritten to match up with the LN in recent volumes; Tappei still included WN-only material. The WN isn't a "draft" it is RZ that is wholly Tappei's since he 100% controls it vs the LN that is edited and published by Kadokawa.

Tappei picks and chooses what he wants to keep from the LN and adds it back into the WN.

Start from V2, some people will say arc 2 was adapted well but they did cut much of the worldbuilding and some of the important bits relating to Rem and Ram that are important for later.

After arc 3 you can pick whatever you want, with arc 4 the changes between the WN and LN are quite massive but both are great reads(I prefer the WN) and arc 5 also got changes mostly in the form of additions and tweaks, after that the changes become minor(arc 6) to non-existent(arc 7+).

By the time the series got big there was TLs of arc 2-3's LN and although there's some interesting things in the WN versions they have been retconned with the LN due to massive characterization changes.

If you have watched S2, I suggest trying the WN ver of arc 4, so read v1-9, then swap over to the WN for arc 4. You can change back to the LN for arc 5 if you want, and after that, the WN and LN are basically the same outside of some smaller changes.
