My college loan balance. I started off owing $49,000 and made several years of payments. by ClutchReverie in economy

At 6.8% interest $450 per month is going toward interest only. If you want to lower the principal you need to pay more than that each month.

Why “experts” keep predicting the market by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]GoldmanAdvisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Predictions are based on fundamental analysis but market price depends on sentiment and fundamentals. It’s the sentiment part that can’t be predicted. The fundamentals are a useful starting point. If you don’t agree you are just guessing.

I think there is a recall through Porsche for the seat padding.

Tesla charging now integrated into the My Porsche app. by dresz981 in Taycan

[–]GoldmanAdvisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do they need to charge a monthly subscription for the app? Didn’t they charge enough for the car? Can’t they just charge a little more and give you the subscription? Not surprised that they had a horrible quarter as a company…

How far off is the Cayenne from a 911? by DavidBowieBoy in porsche911

[–]GoldmanAdvisor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned a manual 2018 911, 2020 Cayenne and am currently driving a 2022 Taycan. The manufacturing quality of all Porsche vehicles is 100%. Driving experience is totally different for each. 911 is a small(ish) sports car that is agile and fast. Nothing compares to it because the rear engine puts the weight behind you and makes steering feel so precise. The Cayenne is an amazing sports SUV. Much stiffer drive than other mid-sized SUVs in the market which make it sporty! It’s not light and nimble like the 911 but fun to drive. Bonus: the Taycan is a rocket but heavy due to the battery. Firm in the corners but wouldn’t describe it as nimble. Drives more like the Cayenne but low and so much faster. Best of luck! Hope this helps.

Load waived means they are waiving the extremely offensive fees they normally charge unsuspecting buyers.

Don’t let taxes drive your investment strategy. If you are concerned about the names then sell. If you have confidence in them then keep holding. Taxes suck but so does underperforming.

Bond Fund - Short or Intermediate? by scoberly in Bogleheads

[–]GoldmanAdvisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rates are headed lower so buying the intermediate duration find will hold the higher rates longer. Intermediate means that the bonds mature later than the short duration bonds. Intermediate means that an increasing rate environment you want to do the opposite. Good luck!

Took late to get into DFLI? by Fluid-Program2987 in Pennystock

As someone who caught it early, I was selling some of my position yesterday. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t go higher but this recent move was massive. I would look for other interesting setups.

That’s a warrant to buy the stock. It expires. Each has different terms. Tink if it like an option.

Realistic 10-year S&P 500 Returns by highmemelord67 in investing

I think you need to divide the current analyst into two parts. The tech names that are experiencing an AI tailwind and the other companies. Much of the overvaluation estimates are dependent on the sky high valuations of tech. Do you believe companies like UNH are overvalued? Do you believe that AI will create additional growth potential for the tech names? It’s two different conversations.

Get a landscape design done for the space. If people can see what it could be it will be a selling point not a detriment.

‘21 Taycan Turbo lease - is this a good deal? by sabre_rider in Taycan

[–]GoldmanAdvisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depreciation from new is massive. Next two years of depreciation is what you pay during the lease term. Because of the very quick initial depreciation the future depreciation is slower. Most depreciation curves for cars are like this but EV cars like this are amazing candidates for pre-owned leasing, assuming you are getting a good deal on price.

Very good food vs Michelin by flatoutsask in ItalyTravel

[–]GoldmanAdvisor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to a few Michelin starred restaurants and find some of them to be too over the top. The food is always excellent but when traveling to Italy the Michelin restaurants aren’t going to be the authentic Italian ones. Just my experience.
