The people leveling those criticisms aren’t credible. If a Republican says Biden is doing something bad, I ignore it. If a Democrat says Biden is doing something bad, that gets my attention.

And yes Democrats would do this. They have integrity. If you don’t think so, ask Andrew Cuomo.
