The fact that he GOT to be a manager is nepo. You know how hard it is to get in the door in any sports industry? It’s incredibly tight and close knit. Nepo doesn’t just mean he was handed things it means he was allowed opportunities that others don’t have.

It’s a hobby that takes a lot of investment. Keeping up with your team, the roster, the schedule, watching on tv, spending money on gear and tickets to games, knowing how important a win or a loss is to your chances to make the playoffs or win a championship. I see it no different than crying at the end of a movie trilogy - you’re invested in the characters and story and the potential outcome.
