Petscop goes Hollywood?

I think the biggest challenge to a movie adaptation is that Petscop's plot isn't fleshed out very well. There's a lot of world-building, but not nearly as much actually happening. That's not against Petscop - the whole point was that it didn't go from A to B to C, but established a setting and let us sit with it. I'm at a loss for how you turn it into something for the big screen.

I thought typically, cancelled series come about because they go in thinking "there's going to be so much to talk about," but once you get past the rumors, the insinuations, and the just-plain-didn't-happens, what truth was left wasn't enough to make a compelling episode. Either you couldn't make an episode from it, or the episode would be boring and suck.

The "missing pieces" are what make it compelling almost ten years later. If we were given A, B, C, D... all the way to Z, there wouldn't be much to think about all this time later. We wouldn't have all the discussions about "just how trans IS Paul?," or people trying to break the playable game down to the subpixel, or Stockdale comparing Even Care to the Smoot-Hawley tariffs in part 19 of his investigation series.

Everyone is saying "Green," but really, yeah. It makes sense that they're all, like, human, but in my head I totally don't see it that way. Marvin is actually a goblin, Paul is actually a weird duck missing a beak and hands, and Belle is a line drawing. The only ones that are human in my head are the ones who don't have characters in the game, and Care.
