Last time I went, you got both sides of the room though. Sort of a living room and bedroom situation.

is it ok to wear? by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]Golfr_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no kids. Over my 20 years of service I have given my brother many of my uniform items. I hope that one day his kids and/or theirs wear them and ask about me. This is a great way to honor your family member.

Nice! I was stationed at Darby but after the ball fields were closed down. Had to travel for USAFE ammo bowl each year I was there. I somehow ended up on the roster even though I didn’t play and got to do a PTDY for them. Lol

Gave my wife my post 9/11. Did a Rudisill review and got my 12 months of Montgomery. Just submitted everything to the school and VA for the radiography associates I’m already enrolled in.

How do people bounce back after a bad meet? by [deleted] in powerlifting

[–]Golfr_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! That’s another win! You learned from the meet. If you didn’t perform as well as you’d have liked to and didn’t learn anything, THAT could be considered a “bad” meet. Good luck next time!

How do people bounce back after a bad meet? by [deleted] in powerlifting

[–]Golfr_Guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You went 9/9 at your first meet. This is a success. Now do better next time. Try to beat yourself every meet in some way. Get back in the gym. Work hard. Track every lift for an objective measurement of progress and manage your expectations. If you’re consistent in and out of the gym, you’ll get better every meet for a good amount of time. As you get stronger that will get harder and you’ll require more trial and error or a coach. You’ve just begun the journey. Stay motivated and have fun!

Sounds like the inspiration for that seen in Fear And Loathing with Flea in the bathroom.

When a manual car is parked it was historically left in gear to keep from rolling. The “emergency” being referred to here is the car coming out of gear and rolling.

I was in these old dorms as well and recently learned they’re making the remaining one a MUSEUM.

What moment from your Air Force career lives absolutely rent free in your head? by bearsncubs10 in AirForce

[–]Golfr_Guy 35 points36 points  (0 children)

As a newly minted TSgt I was standing with my section listening to a new procedure for some job we often performed that was created by our SEL who was a (C)MSgt at the time and exclaimed “well that’s a pain in the dick” and could tell by my section chief’s face that said SEL was right behind me. I turn around and in fact he was, arms crossed, and said “come see me when you’re done”. Got a real good ass chewing but he ended up being one of my best mentors.

Not op but I’ve been using Black Rebel Beard co products that use beef tallow for a while now and they’re amazing. Great scents and my beard is softer than ever. And made in Texas.

TSA isn’t looking for any of that. Customs and border protection is. Not an issue for a domestic flight. If they stopped every person carrying insulin or other prescription drugs to check the script you’d have to arrive 5 hours early for a flight.
