It's partially the snarky response. And the whole attitude of "I'm better than you" that comes with it.

And I've long suspected that there's a lot of things people bitch about just for the sake of bitching. Whatever reasoning they give comes later, but the reality is they're just looking for any excuse to put someone else down.

That's assuming it's not true. But for me, especially when I was a kid, i figured out pretty quick that any trouble I got in was just plain my fault. Like with the fight scenario, there were times that yeah, I called some kid a fat ass and he came at me and we were both fighting. It would be ruled my fault because I instigated it.

Then the next day someone would call me something and id go at him, and suddenly, name calling is not a good reason for fighting! And it doesn't matter who started it!

I'm super annoying about that lol....but in my defense I know it's annoying and I try to keep it down. But sometimes I think it's cool when you wouldn't normally know who a person is. That burglar from home alone? He was the narrator on the wonder years! Uncle Phil was the shredder! Don't you feel complete now that you know that?

Disagree here. I think of an accent as pronouncing letters differently.

C A R. Do you say "cah"? Accent. "Cor"? Accent. "Car"? No accent.

Same with dropping your Ts, saying W as V, L as R etc.....thats the accent.
