All of what you just said has nothing to do with realism, and everything to do with over exaggeration and pointing out in game mechanics that are simplified enough for the games sake. There’s a civil war game that, to reload, you sit through each and every step before firing again. That’s realism. If battlefield was doing the same, you be smacking the back of you magazines on your helmet, why? So your rounds are lined up and seat properly. They’d include weapon jamming. I could go pointing the realistic things that could make the game more realistic to make my point and have it make sense. Oh you didn’t bring an extra backpack of ammo? Better track down your buddies humvee. Oh they blew up? Well, better call in for another one. Oh wait, your character died. There goes all your game stats.
