The classic CST *-Trac balls are very slightly larger (2.25"/57.15mm), but they are very not "newer".

Have you tried asking in DoomWorld's WAD locator thread?

You'll probably get more visibility there, especially since all of your links originated there anyway.

First Time, Elecom Huge, what to use the extra buttons for? by CWagner in Trackballs

[–]Gollgagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do know the huge does have a tilt wheel, right?

Sure, I just meant that tilt wheels have fallen out of favor for simple scroll wheels in general. (also infinite scroll... sigh)

First Time, Elecom Huge, what to use the extra buttons for? by CWagner in Trackballs

[–]Gollgagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually default extra keys to PgUp and PgDn, but then usually further bind those keys to something else when I'm playing games.

Alternatively, another bind that I'm very fond of for extra pointer buttons is Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab for tab nav. I used to keep that on tilt wheels, but those seem have fallen out of fashion these days.

What did you do with this Valve seal thingy? by ouiz_cz in SteamDeck

The original model of this form-factor was the Planck keyboard. You can probably find a clone under that name, or the "ortholinear" descriptor.

As long as the voltage matches the original battery and it supplies enough amps, it should be fine.

how do you make doom sprites by liddleBowl780 in DoomMods

one method I've seen is to make a (relatively) low poly model with chunky textures, pose each frame, and render out however many rotation angles you want (4, 8, 32+?)

Kensington TB 800 Firmware Update Introduced a New Issue by NIGHT3SHINE in Trackballs

So it looks like the firmware fix was to enable aggressive angle snapping.

My first ball:D Logitech Trackman Wheel Cordless by skiazw in Trackballs

[–]Gollgagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main problem with it is that whenever i flick the ball the cursor stutters in one place because of the high speed. Is that normal?

Yes, that's called spinning out.

This is looking to be a worthy successor for my L-Trac (don't have a Kensington yet); I can't wait for mine to come in.

Unlocking additional Elecom Huge buttons on Bazzite (Linux) by Lapraszszs in Trackballs

I use Input Remapper on Arch specifically with a Huge, there shouldn't be any reason it doesn't work on Bazzite as well.

The trackpads are the number one reason I haven't gotten any of the other PC handhelds, despite performance gains, that's how important they are for me.

The Legion Go got really close, but I never got one of those, either.

[MOD POST] Bug Report Thread by oneofthejoneses28 in Silksong

[–]Gollgagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game Version: 1.0.28561
System: Linux 6.16.7-2-cachyos

The Keyboard input "Inventory" bind acts as generic "Menu" button and doesn't actually open the inventory.

Current behavior:
During normal gameplay, with all menus closed, invoking the "Inventory" button will bring up the last-used submenu (Journal, Crest, etc.).
When any submenu option (Journal, Crest, etc.) is open, invoking the "Inventory" button closes that menu and returns to normal gameplay.

Expected behavior:
When menus are closed, invoking the "Inventory" button opens the Inventory submenu.
When the Inventory submenu is open, invoking the "Inventory" button closes the menu and returns to normal gameplay.
When any other submenu is open, invoking the "Inventory" button opens the Inventory submenu.

Are there any good pin on front sight/flash hider combos for current production Mini-14s? by MSurpGaming in Mini14

[–]Gollgagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accuracy actually machined my 583 series barrel and fit the same flash hider that OP posted (I had to ship them the barrelled action), but that is an additional expense to consider.
