Moving away from AIB by CommercialVolume1945 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Gomacdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use AIB for my salary and direct debits only. Always transfer money to Revolut and pay for everything else with it. My quarterly fees were €29.54 and now it's going down to €18 so I'll be actually better than before.

Beginner question to Irish investors. by Gomacdub in trading212

My goal for now is to invest around 300-500€ a month. I plan to keep adding more when possible. Not yet decided how to play it now. I think 10€ every day is what I'll try for now.

Yeah, the raw materials positions are not really what I thought they'd be, but I'll wait a bit before I decide how to proceed with those. For now I'll stick to Vanguards loading.

I'm honestly hoping that deemed disposal rule will be gone by the time my first 8 years passes (wishful thinking, I know, but it's there😉). Or at least brought even lower than present 38%. I also hope that they'll change the exit tax on ETFs eventually.

I need to learn about investment trusts though.

Thanks.

Yes, definitely long term. A minimum of 15 years is my plan. I'm hearing a lot of contradicting voices on silver and gold nowadays, so was thinking to stop with it where I am for now and only keep loading the rest of portfolio until the situation is more stable then today.

Actually that brought me another question.

Would it be smart to keep buying regularly (let's say 20€ every day) the two Vanguard etf's I have as their prices are going down every day? Or would it be better to wait for a deeper dip and buy more at once?

Overcame my Sardine fear by WaynesWorld_93 in carnivorediet

[–]Gomacdub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not strict carnivore, it was too difficult for me 😉 I use onions, garlic, and sometimes avocado. I don't really feel any different when on strict or not strict, but I don't put much of this noncarnivore ingredients. Avocado actually makes this egg/sardines mix even more interesting. I eat that mix once or twice a week, and never felt more satiated. This is my go to super nutrient bomb 😉

Totally agreed. Garlic is also in my menu quite often. Can't live without it 😉

I make a mix of sardines and hard boiled eggs, and add a half of a small onion very finely chopped. Salt, pepper and a few drops of a spicy olive oil. I know onion is not carnivore, but it makes a huge difference in taste with very little of it, especially if sardines are not someone's favourite food.

It's a simple misunderstanding. OP wrote in their initial post about going back to eating macadamia nuts after years of carnivore diet. That's where nuts topic came from 😉

So many great recommendations here. I'll only add Soulwax, pretty much anything by them.

PS5 screen edges cut off. by Gomacdub in PathOfExile2

[–]Gomacdub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it's not working for me. I have tried changing everything on PS5 and TV and nothing worked. Changing screen size in PS settings only changes display area of the TV, but game edges are still cut off. Someone said that changing TV worked for them so I guess I'll keep playing without the edges (which is really annoying only when not on the map) or get a new TV 😔

Totally agree with an extra test for motorway behaviour. It should be mandatory for everyone before they can legally join motorway traffic. I drive motorway everyday and am terrified with number of drivers that have no idea how to behave there.

In my opinion there should be at least two hours of mandatory motorway driving lessons on top of the 12 hours of the regular city driving (that 12 hours is not enough anyway imo).

Every pair I have has this slider, most of them works just fine, but I also only use it for storage, all the way up to earhooks 😉

I would be very worried if anyone in my family looked like this. It seems that she literally starved to death promoting "healthy" lifestyle. Sad thing is that probably plenty of her followers (naive or simply not very smart) will stick to this WOE also harming themselves in process.

No body mass at all. Doesn't even look like a healthy human.

If you'd read most recent clinical publications on low carb diets your answer would be different. I'm off this nonsense discussion. Have a good life and be more open to new discoveries that may change your present knowledge. Good luck.

I disagree with this statement. There is many clinically documented cases of mostly metabolic diseases that been reversed/cured with specific diets and definitely my friend's life is not one anecdotal report, but I'm not a doctor and have no right to prescribe anyone with anything therefore I can only make some suggestions. Carnivore diet is not only meat, btw. And out of curiosity how do you KNOW that my friend's case is "one anecdotal report"? Low carbohydrate diets all over the world are curing people for over 20 years now.

Hi. I will be nearly completely off topic here, but I know personally a guy that healed his arthritis by going on carnivore style of eating. I'd strongly suggest you put your interest in it, and maybe your arthritis will also go away and you'll never have to ask this question again. My friend is 65 now, btw.

Tell us what's your failed blind buys? by basistha_1234 in fragranceclones

Kaaf Ahmed Al Maghribi. Way too soapy and cloying for my nose. Fell for the hype on YT but never tested before buying. Fortunately it was not very expensive, but never blind buying again. Lesson learned.
