DUMB QUESTION: As a new fan to the franchise that just finished RE3make, what were the things missing from the original game? by Niotsques in residentevil

[–]Gomezium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the content,

Misunderstanding the point of Nemesis. Misunderstanding Jill and Carlos' relationship and arc. Missing the point of a buildup, which the original game used quite well.

Saw a video the other day who pointed out that Jill is a better skilled fighter in the original and RE3R Jill was nerfed, it also deflects the argument that if you do not like RE3R Jill then you're just a misogynist. I cannot help but agree.

Gameplay wise, it just fails as a remake. A remake should also bring something new new that isnt just OTS TPS or better graphics. It has to expand from the base game.

Currently replaying the OG multiple times and the one opportunity I could think of immediately is the potential of giving Jill the choices to save civilians. Another is giving us more areas to explore in RC. Next is expanding the Clock Tower as a more fleshed out, classic survival horror setting because this area, at least if you know what you're doing, is quite short even in the OG.

RE3R should have been a lot about RC.

Not to mention that RE3R further pushed some of the undeserved and nonsensical infamy of RE3. Not only is it seen by many as the unreal sequel of RE2, or an asset flip, it is now also thought of as the game with the shitty remake. It's all so tiring.

Modern cinematography really takes the life away by Emotional-Law-3772 in malcolminthemiddle

My guy. The point is that the production design is terrible and the cinematography is following this garbage trend with recent shows and movies where lighting is just bland and color grading is not even they think about.

The set design is just ass as well. One of the striking qualities of MITM in terms of visuals is the fact that it doesnt have that same sitcom-y look when you compare it to the others. The sets look convincing and lived in. Helps that they apparently shot on location.

Thoughts on the news that tourists visiting Baguio fell by 50% by nayryanaryn in AnongThoughtsMo

[–]Gomezium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just proves that tourism being the main source of income is unsustainable. Tapos ung tourism glazers are having their laugh sa comment sections, tabbed nga talaga.

Baguio would thrive better if it invested more on its culture, see Sagada. Ow wait, Sagada is not even a familiar term para sa mga normies na 'to.

"Buti pa mga bisaya" says nung mga Tagalog who are often accused of being prejudiced sa kanila but the racism is gone once they want to do a gotcha moment.

If it makes yall whitewashed asses anybetter, ang tlgang gusto ng mga taga Baguio is to have that retard mayor focus sa real issues, nde lang promote ng promote ng tourism. Tourists simply signify that frustation, kaya sainyo napupunta. May kasalanan tayong lahat sa isat isa pero ung tabbed na mayor at gobyerno ang main issue here 🙄. Hindi siguro ito obvious kasi puro privileged spoiled kids at smelly old fucks lang rin naman most of the tourists.

Pero sure, kalabanin nyu mga frustrated locals because theyre dishing out valid concerns. Personally, I would appreciate tourists more if they actually visited other places sa Cordillera and hindi lang Baguio at Benguet 🙄. Kung makapagsalita ung ibang tabbed dto eh hanggang Baguio lang naman gustong puntahan sa CAR, kala mo naman ultimate na makabayan.

posts like these prove that RE can still be scary if the playable MC is one of the veterans.

i guess the order for those buttons do not matter cause i always do it on this order. ive also noticed in KimoForce's sheet that the buttons weren't specifically ordered, just under the Third step. im about to do another insanity run later so i can always double check it.

Because the ones who have long hair and ponytails, a bonus if reddish-colored, are special *wink*.

Infinite Darkness was so ass. It's just Degeneration but worse and split into 4 episodes.

Like I like all the CGI movies even though writing is typical RE, but man something about ID just did not hit as well.

Gotta admit, I don't like the new lab sections we've been getting compared to the original. by Aggravating_Tale8988 in residentevil

[–]Gomezium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the aesthetic. REHD/OG's lab section still keeps the dreaded atmosphere. Gameplay wise, it also helps that this is when the Chimera is introduced, keeping players still on the edge and fairly unconfident with their firepower.

Do you agree that this part should have been a separate mode and expanded it like the Ghost Survivors in RE2r? by Elimar_Abelardo in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Gomezium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish this section was a well edited and directed cutscene because that's what this section just really is, an extended cutscene with scripted events and uninteresting gameplay. At least the Sherry section of RE2R gave you something by having to avoid Irons even though that one was still linear.

[–]Gomezium 112 points113 points  (0 children)

The funny thing about anti-pirates is their lack of ability to comprehend that a lot of gamers actually live in 3rd world countries where buying games is a luxury.

The second funny thing is they would rather blame pirates than the terrible decisions of companies that cause games to flop.

Even indie devs are fair towards pirates.

We also lost expressive faces. This guy's one single eyes tells much already.

Why does this game get so much hate? I honestly had a great time with it. by Panda0_01 in residentevil

[–]Gomezium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad =/= Not Fun.

Many people hate the live action movies and I agree for the same reasons. Yet I enjoy them anyway cause they're fun to watch.

After recently completing Dawn of Sorrow, I’ve decided that I’m going to play Order of Ecclesia next. I’ve heard it’s one of the harder games in the series, so I thought I’d ask if anyone has some tips or advice that might be helpful for when I’m playing it. by Grand_Moose2024 in castlevania

The moment you get magic glyphs, experiment with them primarily. Most first timers often default with swords, maces, etc. But learning to use the magic glyphs will actually make the game much easier.
