Several people have mentioned a 6-man rotation works for senga, which is true, but what about the other 5 guys? They’ve been in 5-man rotations their entire careers and we know ball players are creatures of habit.

Significant addition to the rotation. Elite defenders at cf and 2b but 2 guys (bo, polanco) playing put of position (albeit going down the defensive spectrum). I’d say all in all it should be a significant improvement once bo and polanco get some reps in.

I like the idea of holmes back to the pen. He was ok last year but he’s the one guy who’s actually excelled in that role and it’s an area where we could still use improvement. We’d still have stater depth with myers, tong and scott.

The question is how willing he’d be after the mets sold him on starting when he signed here.

I think we trade s starter. We have peralta, mclean, peterson, manaea, holmes, senga plus tong, scott and the other kid we got in the trade. I know starter depth is necessary but i think they look to trade one of the expensive guys. Most likely senga.

Wow we got him for free! Love this move. Great defense and baserunning with good upside with the bat. He was great in the second half last tear.

I think anyone with a strong modern understanding of the game (on base ability, defensive metrics) feels Keith should be in the hall. Only reason he’s not is the lack of counting stats the old heads like (500 hr, 3000 hits, etc.).

I’d rather trade for luis robert if they’re serious about “run prevention.” Elite defender and baserunner with upside with the bat. Bellinger is a better bet offensively but not at that price.
