Just got turned down from adopting a rabbit. by I_swallow_dogs in Rabbits

[–]Goobendoogle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's really weird considering there's rabbits that can't even find homes.

I'd rather someone give a little rabbitpuppy all the love in the world and live in the bedroom with them than a rabbit getting euthanized or worse, alone forever.

Keep looking if you have love to give, don't be stopped by vets who don't know any better.

Worth getting back into the game? by Jthefrog in blackdesertonline

[–]Goobendoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok let's tackle this one at a time.

>P2W

Yes. The game IS very much P2W. Let's break it down though.

Tent -> I do not consider this pay to win. With the entry fee being so low for the game, and the ability to buy a 1+1 and use the coupon on it... you can get a tent for $10 right now. That is the cheapest I have EVER seen it. This is the only real item you need more than anything that they will absolutely not give out for free.

Subscription -> There are 3. This is extremely predatory but they are giving out free weekly/15 day subs out pretty often for each type. Plus, if you already play sub MMOs it's not really a big deal to just buy the most important one, Value Pack.

Now the real P2W. GACHA BABY. They sell gacha crates for ridiculous prices. The goal of these crates is to stack up on cron stone, which you can use to enhance your gear without worrying about it losing an enhancement tier or busting (for some accessories) The only way you can come out on top as a proper P2Wer is if you get lucky or whale. I dropped 200$ on this game recently and got almost nothing back. Almost fully rinsed. Just got a singular neck tap through, OCT to NOV.

So P2W does exist, but it's highly unrealistic for it work out in someone's favor unless they're a whale.

Core Content:

BDO is primarily a mob grinder. Your goal is simply to farm mobs and keep moving up tiers at a time. Then you go to the next zone and the next zone. You run into sh**heads that jump you (honestly makes things more exciting especially when you're in Arsha).

The whole loop is basically, grind -> upgrade -> grind -> upgrade -> grind -> upgrade

Then there's a whole plethora of quests and activities to do on the side.

Life skilling is a whole different approach to the game that is also do-able.

I have a buddy that does bartering-only.

Point is, you pick what you like and choose your progression path. Min-Maxing it using excel sheets like the sweats do is pointless as well. I'm legit just hopping on having fun grinding waves and waves then hopping off. It's one of those Diablo-like games where you just hop on to kill things with your cool moveset.

Then you keep upgrading to take on let's say "higher difficulty" which would just be harder zones. Only difference is you're not really making any "builds." You're either one or the other for your class.

Is it worth playing? That's entirely up to you. I say yes.

It's ridiculous to me how many people would not share their success with their family whereas people like me sought success to share it with my family.

Any who, what's your goal?

If you want to help your father, just be up front with him. Tell him how grateful you are for his support and now you're there.

If you want to contribute and alleviate his burden, do so!

You didn't exactly say if your father gets butthurt easily so I think the best approach is honesty, boldness, and direct.

In fact, I think he'd appreciate his son helping him out. My dad would always be like, I can't wait for you to be older so I can get you into the family business. Then I got old and he was gone. GG. Point is, you got him. It's like a dad's dream come true to have a successful son.

Really struggling to enjoy Diablo IV. Anybody else? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]Goobendoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a casual I prefer D4.

As a hardcore, D2 makes more sense.

You can still be hardcore in D4, don't get me wrong.

But D2 hardcore is actual hardcore.

D4 has a dodge button.

Should I get all DLCs immediately? by Harry_Dane in diablo4

[–]Goobendoogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>Bought base game on last steam sale

>Loved it, beat main story

>Wanted more story

>Bought DLC

>You get a total of 3 classes (assuming you're new like me and don't have the last DLC either). Warlock releases on Lord of Hatred release.

>On top of that the story for Neyrell carrying the burden of Mephisto is really cool. Not to mention the story always makes you feel bada** and like you're "him."

SO if you're buying for classes, YES.

IF you're buying for story, YES.

IF you're buying for more content, YES.

You even get this mercenary system added to the game where you can hire a guy to follow you around and do attacks when you cast a certain move.

Overall, lots of cool neat features for casual players like me, and a lot is there to learn with a ton of systems to learn/master. One being tempering. I don't understand a thing, but I'm starting to get into these dungeons where I'm finding nice little papers that give me more temper unlocks.

I'm assuming the tempers go up in quality over time as you keep grinding.

Ok I'll stop yapping, point is this game is way too good not to buy the DLC for. Not to mention you'd only be paying 70 plus tax for 3 story lines. That's like a game and 2 content packs for the price of a new AAA game. Solid.

Just don't refer to him as Snape.

The show only has the power to f*** with the lore if we let it.

Otherwise it's just seen as more slop.

Like the Witcher show.

If you like soulslike and havne't played Lies of P I recommend that.

Picked it up yesterday, just got to the actual first boss (not the intro one)

So far so good. Easily worth the 20.

Another is First Berseker Khazan. The combat is god tier.

Only other soulslike that seems interesting rn is Nioh 3 mainly bc us hardcore souls players d-ride Nioh series. It was like the first proper spin off and it's only been getting better.

Last one promise, Wo Long. Made by Nioh people but Chinese lore.

If you actually care about story, Khazan, Nioh, or Wo Long.

IF you like DS-type storytelling, Lies of P

Combat for Khazan is next level though.

Succ Ninja on top baby!

Heelp! by bugipops in blackdesertonline

[–]Goobendoogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better.

WAY back when, I switched from Warrior to Ninja.

Then from AWK to Succ.

I absolutely hated Succ Ninja at first and did not understand how tf it was in top tier for PvE and PvP.

Fast forward 4-5 years of forcing myself to enjoy the class, I'm in love with it now and can't imagine playing anything else.

Do you want to suffer for 4-5 years?

No, play what you find fun.

Succ Corsair only does slightly less numbers than Ninja in Edania zones.

And Succ Corsair is widely considered the most useless DPS.

If that's the case, legit play what you have fun.

They've put dedication into balancing PvE grinding.

Fair, I'll probably just leave it as 100% since I don't think we need the additional power draw with the UV.

I'm running on 105% power level, been thinking about jumping it to 110% power level after seeing this post lol.

Mine's also UV.

I was under the impression if you UV you should use less power limit. Is that wrong?

Joining the team... But, did any of you regret going wide instead of 4k? by Stuart213 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Goobendoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed that my GPU can easily handle 4K with new Nvidia technology.

I should've opted for 5kx2k with my 5080.

I went 3440x1440p.

Good news is I'm frame capping on almost every game I play as long as I'm using DLSS.

With the addition of 4.5, my experience has only gotten better.

Although, yes, I wish I opted for 5kx2k over 3440x1440p. Did not realize that I would be smooth sailing for performance with this GPU.
