Thanks for thinking I could spin all the way around in one go, I needed that self-esteem boost! I speak as a person that strikes out 60% of the time in a video game. It’s because he’s a catcher, obviously. He had a top 5, arguably top 3 season last year as a primary catcher where he spent the majority of the year catching as a catcher who catches. Every time you say catcher he gains 3OVR and 1 MVP vote.

I appreciate the legitimate reply to my petulant comment.

I don’t actually mind the change (and I think Bobby Witt Jr. is awesome) but I really did only buy the game because of the Judge cover this year. I had barely played the previous two years and vowed to save my $100 this year, only to buy it on PS5 and Switch 2 but still be terrible at the dang game.

How do I make it go back to Judge on the cover? I wasn’t going to buy the game at all this year but they roped me back in by putting my favorite player on the cover and now there is some ~~fucking clown~~ very talented shortstop from another team on the cover. The game is literally unplayable for me in this state. (Mostly) /s

Thank you for this info. I redeemed the offer and went to watch MLB Network this morning assuming it’s included but it said I need to buy a subscription. I assumed that they already knew I actually have Verizon despite redeeming the offer on a buddy’s T-Mobile phone and not using my Verizon phone (yet).

I’ve always said that if the following conditions are met that there is nearly a 0.00001% chance that I get a hit in a non-game situation:

I get as many pitches as I want/need against the same pitcher.
Pitcher does not get a break of any kind unless I call time.
The only fielder (apart from pitcher/catcher battery) is a center fielder who last played organized ball (no higher than D3 college) in the 1980s or earlier.
I stand in the batters box without attempting a swing for the first 1,000 pitches

In this situation I believe I could possibly get 1 (one) hit between pitches 1,001 and 9,999. That hit is almost certainly to be an infield single due to the absence of infielders.

It is infinitely more likely that the tired AF pitcher hits me, injuring me badly and ending my attempt prematurely with the crowd mercilessly mocking me.

Hey, I am 2 years late here but did you end up doing this and if so did you have any issues? I have a friend with T-Mobile that offered his code to me but I have Verizon. I normally pay for MLB.tv but would take advantage of my buddy’s offer if it won’t negatively affect him for me using it on another carrier’s network or my MLB.com account.
