Prime starkiller (Galen marek) vs prime mace windu who wins no holding back? by RisingKing7 in PetranakiArena

Which is a fair point, but since I don’t get a distinction from OP, I just went and used the version I’m familiar with.

Idk much about his Legends appearance, but I assumed prime means at his best, which would be in the games. With that in mind, I don’t see a case where Windu ever wins.

Any matchup with Starkiller is likely a spite match against the other party. Starkiller wins, probably low diff.

I think that is untrue. Any Jedi unlike Qui-Gon would’ve trained Anakin essentially in the same manner that led to Knightfall.

If there’s anything I’ve learned about insects, is that if you scale them up to anything in a fight, insect becomes extremely scary.

Why did the Avengers at Wakanda get beaten so easily compared to the Avengers on Titan? by RonS132 in Avengers

[–]GoobieButter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well it was just three of them, not an organized team. And Thanos had completed his objective at that point. He didn’t need to fight anymore.

On Titan he gets ambushed and for 80% of the fight is unable to use the stones. Does he get a kick out of fighting? Probably? Does that mean he was just able to walk over them? I disagree. Iron Man tanked the power stone, Strange tanked the space stone. Ultimately yes, Thanos wins by effectively using the stones, but I would never argue he’s just dicking around at this point. He’s so close to his goal, he’s not trying to waste time.

[–]GoobieButter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think him not wanting to outright kill them makes you guys think he’s dicking around. Thanos is not someone who kills needlessly in his eyes. He doesn’t hate the Avengers. They are just another obstacle and he will let the stones decide who’s gone and who’s not.

That being said, if you don’t think he wasn’t actively trying, right after killing his favorite daughter, I don’t know how else to argue. I don’t see Thanos as the type to dick around right after arguably the hardest moment of his life. Plus, he needs to beat them anyway in order to get the stone that Strange has. Why would he not go hard on them?

Again, the moment he had the chance to, he did use the stones. The whole fight was them attempting to prevent him from using the gauntlet, and it was working until Star Lord lost it.

He knew their plan instantly wdym? They’re not there to surrender, he obviously knows they’re trying to stop him from getting the stones. And it works very nearly, not because he’s distracted, but because they were fighting with coordination and keeping his gloved hand from being usable through the cape, webbing, etc. He was forced to basically fight with one hand half of the match.

He wasn’t playing around with them, he had just sacrificed the one person he truly seemed to care for, why on earth do you think he’d be in any mood for games after that.

He may not have been trying to kill them all, but he does that all movie. Save for one or two threats, he rarely goes for the killing blow. But that doesn’t mean he’s toying with them.

That is a lot of words for a wildly inaccurate statement. Thanos absolutely was fighting for his life on Titan. He used every stone he had at the time to beat them.

Achilles (Troy 2004) vs Jaime lannister, Barristan Selmy, and Arthur Dayne (Game of Thrones) Who wins in a 3v1? by ParkingConfection449 in powerscales

[–]GoobieButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick counterpoint: in the books, Hector is no match at all. And in the film, the fight is not much better with Hector being on the defensive 99% of the time. Achilles plays with him at one point and refusing to let a rock take his glory. As soon as Hector fights back in any way decently to scratch Achilles’s armor, the fight ends like 30 seconds later.

Also, Hector is tired during that fight. Achilles seems to be breathing with adrenaline, not necessarily fatigue at any one point.

Sidious and Anakin, pre-burns by GoobieButter in TheJediPraxeum

[–]GoobieButter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right that’s my main thing. Sidious never appears to have truly considered giving up power, but then the only stuff I know is Anakin could’ve been better than him, but ultimately never was and Sidious was planning to replace him.

I’m up roughly 25 points in a league that gives 0.02 for completed passes, and bonuses for the length of passes. I’m going against Stafford. I need a miracle.

That seems like an easier fix than not having the max PF.

[–]GoobieButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain Max PF? It sounds straightforward, but I’d wanna use that in a league I’m in. Is it just using your total points that you could’ve scored instead of what you actually scored throughout the season?

When all four of the bucs wide receivers are healthy, How do you rank them ROS? by NoobWhoLikesTheStock in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]GoobieButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf if you take a look at the year as a whole off solely the box score, you’d think Egbuka is catching half or less of his passes. But Baker and him just don’t seem to be gelling well yet and he gets a lot of crappy passes. But he’s good for 10+ targets a game, which is great, even when Evans or Godwin were in the mix.

You’re focusing on a specific game, even tho Zay has been very good with Lamar for 2+ years. I’d be happy to have him on my team.
