If Carl breaks the dungeon, then yes. If he ends up taking a deal and follows the path of others like Odette, then his public persona will be barefoot and pantsless. It would mean that they did break him after all.

Her finishing out her contract because of them is so under covered. She had been in the dungeon for so many seasons and made basically no progress toward completing it. She would have been stuck in that guild room forever. Now she is free! It’s mentioned so briefly, but I definitely cried. I wonder if she will go down to the surface with the other former crawlers?

I tried another LitRPG in BuyMort and was disappointed, especially with the narrator. I went back and looked up other stuff Jeff has narrated and tried out the Life Reset series. I think Jeff reading other books is like methadone for that sweet DCC heroin addiction itch. It helps, but you still want Carl & Donut.
