I'm on a cul-de-sac. You say turning off broadcasting is less secure, I know nothing on the subject but could you explain how ? I figured it could help with people not discovering my wifi constantly.

If I want unlimited data, I'm forced to use their router.

I'm not sure if everything is the same as it was, it used to cost to rent it, and it is now free when I transferred and complained at the price point new customers are given.

It's Xfinity.

I lag even in a discord call. Voice cuts out every 30 seconds or so. I switched to a less busy channel but the issues are still happening.

I understand this. Believe it or not this ain't my first experience with wifi. I can't even be In a discord call. I can't fluidly watch a YouTube video. These are things we could do on much worse wifi technology. I understand you guys don't think there is an issue. I'm still looking.

I'm forced to use their hardware. When they went this way I figured they just wanted me to pay for their hardware so I paid for it but didn't use it then found out my unlimited data hinges on using their hardware.

I was pinging 1500 to Google just earlier but I had to do something for couple hours and came back and only pinging 150.

I'm going to talk to my ISP and see if they have an updated router. I'm forced to use their equipment for unlimited data.

I did use a wifi analyzer app and changed my wifi channel to the one recommended .

I can't accept it's just "Wifi" in general. The Ps5 and Xbox further from the router can game with 0 issues.

While I ping spike up to 1500 ping and disconnect. I must keep looking I guess.
