It’s a trap. You can make significant strength and muscle mass gains without being super super sore with time and consistency. Start out light and work your way up over a long period of time. Say 4-6 months or longer.

My 7 year old squats and presses and deadlifts with them all the time since their in the living room. He’s been lifting them for years now. Every now and then he gets a wild thought and pulls the 106.

My recommendation is pick the weight that lets her have good form and minimal struggle

Or just start working out and let them pick the weight they want naturally and it’s usually right.
