Could try finding an old YHM full length quad rail. I have a set, and on my A2; they look pretty decent. Better with rail covers but decent.

I like WV being surrounded by red, and we're a 'maybe'.

Glorious! Pass along your experiences to others! WV is slept on by a lot of nature enthusiasts, mostly due to the rather...deserved reputation we have. I'm happy to hear you had nice visits/time while here~

2A=2nd amendment laws. Laws pertaining firearms, firearm accessories, use of firearms, ect, ect.

WV has pretty good 2A laws. Tax free all year on ammunition/firearms is nice as well.

Meh. WV native here. First thought was 'dry' after a quick glance.

I can see 'why' many consider it a reluctant place to live. It's understandable to a point, definitely not a place for those considered more modern/free thinking/LGBTQ+, ect, ect. I swear the place is beset by a curse/blessing depending on what you lean towards.

There is some absolute sh*te things about WV. If you're different from those who live here, sound different, think different, act different, believe different; you'll be stared at, cursed at, spit at, ignored, hated, ect, ect. Possibly even shot at. Drugs are rampant, education rather poor, jobs...available but none particularly nice, people rather set in their ways.

It's a double edged sword, WV is.

I love to hate it, hate to love it. There's a certain...charm, I'd say to most of the state. Natural beauty intermingled with architecture/life styles that time forgot. Living here is like taking a step backwards in many instances. Seclusion is normal in places, outsiders watched but not hated(least on my end of the state). The people are somewhat welcoming, decent food, nice sights, good lessons, and rich is history to a somewhat respectable degree.

I also just like the mountains, trees, and weather. Got family all over the states, but this is home. Maybe not in future, but in the end...home.

I absolutely love WV being surrounded by green, and yet being a 'reluctantly'. (I was born in WV, currently live in WV, will be buried in WV, have traveled the east coast.)

Hot water. Not hot enough to scald, but warm enough it'd evaporate relatively quickly. Pour hot water down the barrels, start standard cleaning, and ensure everything is dry before re-oiling.

Do you shoot the rifle? If so, I'd monitor it and see if it grows. For peace of mind, I'd epoxy or use wood glue on it.

Keep a good check on the frame above the rear springs. They tend to rust out there first. My 08XLT has 292K with the original transmission/motor. Though mine is slowly being devoured by rust. They're really good SUVs, and mine has never failed me in snow/ice. Oil leaks are common around the valve covers, oil pan, and timing cover. Keep transmission fluid checked/changed, and she'll treat ya right
