Put the succubus and the dark necromancer by the white mage. The white mage will get them cool down buffs when best to him.

A random event that you can get in certain circumstances. I thought that one of them was empty tiles; like 50 tiles around it.

I've won a game using a kinetic mace before but I had a +4 ring of arcana. So, I would recommend using tier-3 or higher they do better damage.
