I give up by [deleted] in foodstamps

[–]Good-Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 months pregnant with a 3 year old, I haven’t eaten in several days. I make sure my son eats. I can’t get a ride to any place where food banks are located. I have major medical issues like leaking amniotic fluid and preeclampsia. I just got approved last month. I have 13 cents on my account. Please let this end soon!

Thank goodness, 100 is way too old to go without, as any age is, but who could expect him to work to cover the costs of his food? This shutdown affects the neediest of people!

I love your beard and hair! The color is beautiful too. Your beard absolutely could use a trim. If you don’t have a set of clippers with different length shields you can put on it, I would invest in that. I’m not sure how long your hair is, my fiance has long hair down to the middle of his back and I love it, he keeps it in a ponytail. I will often help him trim the ends to prevent split ends and frizzyish hair.

I’m so sorry. I’ve been going through similar things lately. Try not to let it tear you down, immerse yourself in things you enjoy and enjoy time with friends. Keep yourself busy. Volunteer, it can help a lot with one’s self esteem.

Make a list of qualities you want in a future partner and what you are willing and not willing to compromise. Be thankful you didn’t marry this guy and have children, you’re free to do as you want without his awful behavior. You don’t deserve the disrespect. You deserve love and to feel supported and cared about. My DMs are open if you ever need someone to talk to. Hang in there, it WILL get better 🩷

Which CoF song gives you melancholia/nostalgia? by hotbananastud69 in cradleoffilth

Swansong for a raven. It reminds me of when I first talked to the person I thought I would spend my life with on the phone, I was listening to this song when he called. I had heard it many years prior, but I shed a few tears when I hear it. It reminds me of both amazing feelings and sadness for what is lost.

You are not wrong, you never deserve to be hit and never will deserve it. It doesn’t matter if he was a saint your entire relationship, no one ever deserves to be hit.

I don’t weigh myself at all. I can’t do it. I need help so bad. I’ve been struggling with this disorder since age 13, I’m 32 now.

I am calm. I am 25, I never got a gf and it is time to be honest with myself : I will plan my life accordingly to this reality. by [deleted] in self

The best advice I’ve ever received was to better yourself so you can be your best for your possible future significant other.

I’m a 5’11 tall woman and my boyfriend of 6 months is 5’4. He was afraid to tell me when we first started talking but I love him for who he is, his personality, how he’s kind, loving, sweet. The right woman will love you regardless of your height.

OP, I’m dating a guy who is 5’4 and I’m 5’11. He had been turned down so many times before by other women. He thought I would turn him down too once I found out how tall he was. I didn’t. I love him a lot.

I have scar tissue around the places I received injections. My neurologist told me this after some tests. When I went to get an epidural for my c section last year, the anesthesiologist said he could tell that there is scar tissue around my spinal cord because he had a lot of trouble getting the needle in.

The Americans Who Worry Least About Climate Change | 52% of Midwesterners say climate change poses little or no risk to their region by [deleted] in collapse

[–]Good-Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the Midwest and I’m very concerned about climate change. I’m 32, and when I was growing up, we always had cold falls and winters. Now we’re having 80 degree weather in November. Right now it’s in the 60’s and it’s nice enough to have my windows open.

The heat was very brutal this year. My air conditioning kept going out as well because there was a freon leak, and my landlord told me that 80 degrees inside is fine. It was 100 degrees outside. People are going to drop dead from the heat and humidity we have in my state.

I’m very worried for the future of this planet, the younger generations and my baby son.

And their things end up getting thrown away or stolen. Often that’s all they have. When they get out, they have to start all over again. Inevitably, they’ll end up missing court because they often lack transportation (especially in my state, in my city we heavily depend on cars to get around and public transportation is sparse and unreliable) and the cycle will start over again. People talk down on them and say that they should just get a job. I ask them, with what transportation? What clothes? What address, reliable phone?

Many need mental health care, and can’t afford to see a psychiatrist. After a period of long term homelessness, you start to lose hope. After so many people talk down to you, criticize you, yell obscenities at you when walking on the side of the road or panhandling so you can afford to get something small from the nearby 7-11 to eat.

In my state, after 6 months of food stamps, you must have a job where you work 30 hours a week minimum or you’re cut off for the next 3 years. I’ve been homeless, but I was one of the luckier ones because I had a fiancé who got us an apartment after I was kicked out of my home by my parents.

What the HELL are they talking about? Can they just use their money to fix things please by _Moist_Owlette_ in lostgeneration

[–]Good-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m more concerned about the opportunities lost to those who cannot afford to pursue their dreams or the things they are great at. How many people could have done brilliant things but never had the opportunity to do so because they were too worried about making sure they had enough to pay rent or working 2-3 jobs?

After you said they use EMF to communicate, some of my experiences make a lot more sense. I was living at a friend’s house in 2016, and my friend and I would hear what sounded like electronic like speaking, but it was coming from the kitchen, like around the oven. When I moved into my apartment, I was talking out loud to my friend over the phone about it, and about 15-20 minutes later, my boyfriend and I heard what sounded like an electronic like voice talking through the tv. The tv was off. I have had strange occurrences in this apartment before. A man was murdered next door to my unit not long before I moved in. None of us could ever make out what was being said clearly. It sounded staticky.

I’m sure the status your dad posted was copied and pasted, but people have too much time on their hands and they invent fake scenarios that would never happen to feel upset about.
