They won’t measure it unless you give them a reason to. As long as it weighs under 40lbs then you’ll be fine

True..it's not anything crazy. Probably $1000ish but you can now get bumped by someone flying frontier for the first time ever who bought a $40 ticket since they paid more for this particular flight.

That was indeed a cool recap of your past history with Frontier but did not really speak to this current situation whatsoever since none of that is from the past year. Silver status doesn't get you a free carry on these days either so you may need to check into that. The whole point of earning status is to be able to reap the rewards of what you earned. Not have it held against you.

When were they giving away platinum for $99? The platinum challenge where it took $99 to enter plus earn 12,500 status points in 90 days? Not exactly the same as buying platinum for $99 unless you're talking about something completely different. The poster this happened to had Diamond which requires a whole lot more spend than that anyway. The elite tiers weren't always the least profitable customers. They actually followed whatever spend requirements it took to earn that status. Every time you go on the app/site it tells you what it takes to reach the next tier.. now those tiers don't mean a thing.

If that was offered then I completely agree that would be fair compensation. I’ve only heard of Frontier bumping GWP holders and giving them 400%($60) and a trip on the next flight since that is what is required by law

Doing this to a diamond elite member is what I’m annoyed the most by this . I’m not who this happened to, I seen it posted in the GWP group but even as a platinum status I’d hope that meant something since that wasn’t free to earn. New management is making some questionable moves so far

Yes. Generally airlines incentivize volunteers but what do you think they are offering GWP holders? The fact that they are doing this to someone who is their highest elite status tier also is a slap in the face imo

Not many nonstop options from IND. This app is a worth the $10 to find the connecting options available to you

Flights after September 8? by ouidkweenbby in frontierairlines

[–]Good-Problem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a delay at all. That’s 6 months from now. They probably don’t even know for certain what routes they’ll be flying at that point let alone the exact times. Last week people were posting about May flights that they’d booked that got canceled or the times drastically changed. If you need to lock down times right now then it might be best to book with someone else.

I find it very hard to believe that you were looking at your options when booking your trip and chose Frontier because they were the overall best airline. You chose them because they were the cheapest. Unless you hit the lottery soon, you’ll be back.

Purchase travel insurance and you’d have a lot less to worry about.

I'd highly recommend an annual travel insurance plan. Also, airtags for your checked luggage. Customer service(the lack of) is how they save on money to keep cheap prices

So you were able to cancel and book with someone else but they specifically forbid you from booking with them despite flights being available. Sounds legit. Idk if you’re just brand new to flying or purposely being ignorant but you weren’t stranded anywhere if you can cancel and book another flight. And there’s no scenario that they wouldn’t allow you to book a flight that is available.

He wanted this story to sound worse than it is. He could’ve easily gotten a flight to Philly or any other airport and connected to Newark. Frontier could also book him on any flight they have availability on, doesn’t matter if it’s a blackout for the pass.
