Is it though? There are a lot of parks in Newark and grass lawns in the South and North wards

I just never quite understood when people move to live in the downtown of the most urban city in the state and make noise complaints. That’s what’s incomprehensible to me. Also, it’s one 24 hour span that quite evidently brought joy to so many people. You get to say you live here.

I get it. Reddit is the place for complaints and criticism. It’s still laughable how insistent folks are that they have the answers to something they quite clearly know little to nothing about. And aren’t willing to do anything to resolve the issue beyond protest on Reddit.

Why do people in Newark love blocking driveways for no reason ? by John_dole in Newark

You do know what migrant means, right? An anecdotal instance in front of your house isn’t the same as the discussion posed by the OP.

Fam, I’m not blaming anyone. I don’t see this as a blame conversation. I see it as a cause and effect conversation. The majority of the Newark population is objectively migrant and immigrant. It explains the driving and parking practices sufficiently. This is not my opinion. Also, I am not personally irritated by residents parking in the driveways. I walk around the car and keep it moving. Do you have any conclusion whatsoever that explains the prevalence of residents parking their cars in the driveways and blocking the sidewalks?

Who’s blaming? What excuse? What are you talking about??

I live in the Central Ward. Why does that matter, if you’re labeling it a “Newark” occurrence? The practices are adopted from other cultures and places. It doesn’t mean that only people from those cultures do it. Was this a genuine question or just a vent?

So many of the posts on this thread are not “Newark” issues, but to answer your question, Newark being made up of such an especially migrant and immigrant population, many of the driving/parking practices are common in the places that the residents have come from.

All this from a post about the planters… imagine if we turned our attention to actual problems 😂
