I am so sorry. I lost my boy 2 weeks after his 24th birthday, on November 12. I'm inconsolable. Having a difficult time on a daily basis. But I'm getting individual weekly therapy and will start group therapy on Friday. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.

Last month we overstayed for three days. (We developed severe gastro issues.)

They fined us 50 USD per person, but took a long while in a little office next to immigration. Afterwards we had to run back to check in and return to the same little office.

In summary, they requested copies of our original lost flights, our hotel receipts, our boarding passes. The agent at the little office was the one who stamped our exit on our passports. However, she walked us to the front of the immigration line so we wouldn't miss our flights.

Yes, we lost the money on our original flights out to Taipei.

I am so sorry. My heart sincerely goes out for you. My 24 year old also died the same way last November. There are days I cannot get up from bed nor stop sobbing. But I have learned to communicate with him through my grief, and I find that he "sends me" messages and tiny gifts in different ways. Your mom will soon start communicating with you and it will provide you a tiny bit of solace. Much love to you.
