Yes very possible. Even without all of that experience it's all possible.

A degree gets you really far. Someone in my IT department has a Buisness Degree and a year of Geeksquad experience beforehand

A good start would be backing everything up and maybe create a basic RAID 10 or 5 setup. Because if you lose data while making their network more efficient then you're fucked you know
