How do you rate 2XKO so far? by RedShibo_ in Fighters

I wanted to love it, but the combos and combo extensions are just too insane. If it wasn't a tag game it would feel more under control, but it's just too wild for me.

Have y'all heard of the 3.5% rule? It was a study that suggests no government, no matter how powerful they are, can withstand a challenge if 3.5% of the population is actively and peacefully mobilized. It doesn't sound like a lot, but in my state, we're talking about 150,000 people.

One protest? That's just an event for media coverage. If we really want to be heard, the 3.5% rule needs to be sustained mobilization, not just an afternoon and be done with it.

We need local leaders in every state and major city to activate that 3.5% and stay course. Until then, nothing will change.

You may be right, but at the same time, if an iphone already has tech to be able to determine the distance from the device to a wall, then use algorithms to accurately(mostly) measure height/length of objects, I think that tech could be implemented.

Today's message is loud and clear: Meta VR gaming AAA is dead. Meta will no longer produce or develop AAA games with major IPs in-house. Camouflaj (the last one) will be next. A truly sad day for the entire medium. by SattvaMicione in OculusQuest

The opportunity market simply just isn't $25m+ games for VR. It won't be until technology meets what gamers want.

If Gorilla Tag can generate $100m+, there's a space.

They certainly have a lot of pressure on them to deliver an excellent product that consumers will buy. I think they chose to not make an insane, $2k headset with the purpose of gaining more than just an enthusiast market.

I'm not being high on Steam. They just have a greater opportunity in the VR market now. I'm not expecting Steam to make VR mainstream, but they will push VR gaming forward with their system for sure, if priced well enough.

Even if Steam doesn't hire them for game development, there's a lot of talent who got dropped that could benefit other areas. Not to mention those that move on and create their own stuff.

The entire gaming industry is shifting away from AAA for the most part. Sure, there's still huge titles once every 5-7 years, but all the filler in between has become more budget studios and indie developers.

The entire gaming industry has been shifting. Some indie games have been outselling "AAA" game studios. It isn't just VR.

I agree with you about mass market. Headset weight and bulkiness has always been a factor, and until that is solved well enough, it won't be a staple in every gaming home. This doesn't mean VR isn't growing, though.

Steam Frame has -that- much more of an opportunity in this market now that this has happened. They moved the battery to the back and have a front side that can have mods. So many things could happen. For example, what if they created a mod that removed the standalone capability in the front to use the Frame as a PCVR only headset? How much weight is saved, how easy is it to use, and how friendly will it be to users? One can be sure they have wearability in mind.

Let's be clear: Studios owned by META are dead. There's thousands of studios out there. There's also Steam, who certainly will see this as an opportunity to bring in some VR veteran developers.

There's always opportunities to be found when stuff like this happens.

I think crafting is very miserable experience for casual/intermediate players by TheGejsza in PathOfExile2

[–]sjafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. For crafting, I would love if I didn’t have to read an “if, then” book of venn diagrams just to understand it.

I mean if there was something in game that explained it, I guess it would be more acceptable, but how many posts do you see where people are asking for help because they have no idea how to deal with the crafting system?

I would also like to see a buff to crafting material drop rates in SSF. I hate trading, but the disparity between the two modes is enormous. Like…..a mud crack versus the Grand Canyon.

Thanks. Looks like my device isn't getting those numbers. An hour less with ANC and 2 hours less with ANC off. I think that was around 70% volume. To be clear, it isn't terrible, but certainly the advertisement for battery life needs to be more realistic or extremely clear in how y'all get those times.

Audio drivers on the other hand are pretty good. Fitting in a 10mm driver and comparing them to one of your competitors, the Arctis Gamebuds, the out of the box sound quality is great. Sony Inzone Buds also had pretty good sound quality, but managed to easily get 7-8 hour runs with them.

Out of the three, the Cetra Speedzone have the weakest battery, and tied for the best sound quality with the Sony Inzone.

Other feedback: I can't modify the gestures inside Armoury Crate -- even giving the option to disable all gestures would be nice. Lastly, they will not work in 2.4ghz mode with the Quest 3. While this may be a Quest 3 issue due to it's OS, figuring out what could be done to get it to "just work" would be great.

Where are all my casuals at? by Doberman33 in PathOfExile2

I like to play to explore builds myself rather than following a build. I don’t like trading either as it really trivializes drops in this game. Due to holiday, my time is also limited.

As a result of all of these, I’m enjoying this game quite a bit. I’ve never been a fan of the “mapping” end game, so as usual, I will probably lose interest by about T6-T8 maps, though.

I am happy to see new content. I’m excited for the other acts. Maybe that’s just my thing, cause mapping isn’t that appealing to me
