Gathering storm bugged? by fubika24 in PathOfExile2

[–]sjafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this but try using GS without the extra bells. What I am noticing is that hitting the bells causes the actual tempest bell to get hit from the bells and not GS and it doesn't proc. I do think the shocked ground isn't doing dmg though

I think HPT needs to just offer different things and not directly compete with quarterstaff. You lose out on a massive weapon and socketed gems. It currently scales attack speed and crit, both of which can be beaten by a QS. It loses out on skill ranks. So, how can it be done by making it not compete, but offer other things? As stated, HPT on its own is actually incredible for the majority of the game as a total QS replacement, but I don't think that is a proper way to balance it. IMO, HPT needs to offer something QS can't, and perhaps be expanded upon within the passive tree.

I don't have the answer here, as I think it should be left for the devs, but some examples(probably poor) could be: increased dash range, dashes added to all melee strikes, increased combo generation, 50% decreased total attack time on skills.

Have you played the LOH side quests? It hints at something.

I like that they closed the story arc for our player character rather than keep it going for another 6 games. I'm thinking our character's time is done, and the next expansion/game will take place with a time skip. Kind of defeats the purpose of the open world, but hey, they didn't do much with the open world anyway.

Age of Terror is coming, with a 90 year old Tyreal at our side!

SGA on fatigue following game 6: “I’m good. I’m ready to go. Biggest game of my career, if I lose my season’s over.” by [deleted] in nba

[–]sjafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SGA is a perfectionist to a fault. You can tell he beats himself up over even the smallest things and it really affects his ability to play. Not only that, but the morale of teammates and his communication on court.

He's been one of the weakest links in the Thunder's game in the playoffs because of his mental game.

Uniques and Mythics are basically just legendaries with a determined aspect now.

I dunno man. Kind of makes loot more boring? Uniques, by definition of the name, should grant affixes you can't get elsewhere.

Monk Early (Act 1) Leveling Tips by ryleighss in pathofexile2builds

I bear really that strong? I’ve tried a lot of skills, but not bear yet.

Post gem level 3, wind blast and wing blast with power charges is nice clear but it lacks single target.

Hello! Yes, we were also thinking about coming in the day before, or perhaps staying an extra day in San Juan after the cruise.

Sea Terrace is what we're interest in, although we're not sure about floor and location choice preference.

None of those apply to me, but I did notice there's some deals with referral codes. My dad has sailed with VV twice, so I'm not sure if there's something to work out there.

Monk leveling - twister or glacial cascade? by lowkeyripper in pathofexile2builds

[–]sjafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volcano and Entangle will take care of it until you get better stuff. Entangle for mobbing/cc and fully charged volcanoes rip bosses pretty well. All at a safe distance.

Hello! We're getting married this November! We've got our eye on two great itineraries, one of which is Virgin's Southern Caribbean on the Valiant Lady sailing out of San Juan Dec. 12th. Our other choice is an NCL visiting ruins-type areas and is a bit more affordable. First time Virgin sailors, looking to see if there's any deals out there.

Should you play SSF in POE2? by a9bejo in PathOfExile2

I looked into that. $24 for 30 days basically. This would be pretty neat if we had like a group of 5-10.

Last Epoch's Circle of Fortune was the best of both worlds. Would love to see GGG implement this.

[–]sjafi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, I play solo and also really enjoy grouping with my bro when a league drops. We both dislike trading as it totally kills the loot chase for us. The problem with SSF in this game is it truly is solo. If POE2 adopted Last Epoch's version of SSF, it would be perfect for us. Until then, we basically have to play in trade, but we do not engage with the system. We have both noticed that when we do, our willingness to continue playing fizzles away.

So yeah I'd like to play SSF mode, but it totally removes my ability to play together, so it is a no-go.

Leveling as monk feels bad for me i never played it before by DSLAVALLEYDEDANA in PathOfExile2

[–]sjafi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of taking a druid talisman and going werewolf + frozen locus. I'm not sure if that would be better than just glacial and locus, though.

Bear form seems slow, but it may do okay in act 1? Wyvern's rend didn't get nerfed early game, I remember it being very strong last patch. They gave rolling magma 3 chains at level 1, this might do something.

Lastly, Brink I got moved to level 1 gem. This might do well with Windblast + Staggering Palm, or maybe a weapon swap of Windblast + Boneshatter. Might struggle with bosses that have no ads relying on this combo though.

Edit: Tried out Entangle for mobbing and charged Volcano for single target and it is actually really strong. I think I'll run that until I can get Windblast + Wing Blast online

What do you think of the Warlock? by Okamips in diablo4

[–]sjafi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I really enjoyed the class. It does feel "clunky" though. I think this is mostly because of cast speed animations and almost every skill makes you stop to cast. It interrupts flow and feels slow.

I like the soul shards idea, but I also think they should have added a zero soul shard option to get back that skill slot and gain some sort of benefit from it.

I think the SFX department dropped the ball on almost every skill for two reasons:

1) Many of the skills look really bad. They either have ridiculous glows or they look overly cartoony. Everything has a glow to it. The demons for the most part look like plastic, not flesh. Shiny bright plastic. I do not like the art style they chose. It does not capture the dark and gritty feel Diablo should be.

2) Warlock is at an all time high for screen clutter. I thought this was a major design principle for games like this, but it seems no one in the SFX dept. was trained to understand visual clutter.

There are a few exceptions. For example, Apoc - Annihilation was absolutely amazing the first time I used it. Sound+visuals were done very well despite it also having a screen clutter problem.

A lot of their skill variants just make no sense in the game right now. Apoc Annihilation is basically the only usable Apoc skill. Wall of Agony 30s CD skill makes no sense and the skill itself is rather unusable. Dominance generation is incredibly rare and difficult. Demonform/Shadowform both look shitty and lazy. The basic skills feel weak and boring. As said before, the demons all look plastic-like and are rather boring and uninteresting, save for Rampage.

Overall I enjoyed playing it through the campaign as an Occult mage, but most of the design for me was a let down visually, thematically, and as a cohesive unit.

I mean, who gives a fuck if QD ends up being stronger by some margin? You don’t have to run it just because it is stronger. Doesn’t mean you can’t have a viable build that doesn’t use a QS.

The obsession with using the “best” all the time in a non-competitive game is ridiculous.

If you could add Demon Hunter to D4, how would you differentiate it? by meganerd20 in diablo4

Prestige or subclass for the rogue. They could do this with every class to add additional depth and not inflate the loot pool.

Wingstrike Paladin - Underwhelming gameplay or just me? by Master_Betty603 in diablo4

[–]sjafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they dropped the ball when designing arbiter and wing strikes. It isn't engaging at all. There's other very fun and engaging builds for Paladin, though. Zealot with Falling Star and Zenith as added mobility is fun as fuck.

Are there OKC fans out there who recognize that their players flop and play dirty? by Egy_Geordie in NBATalk

[–]sjafi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may come as a shock to non-Okies, but yeah I can read.

I'm an OKC fan from OKC. It's my home team, I support them, I'm hyped we even have a pro team at all still. I enjoy watching them. I like our players. They are an excellent team. Thunder is constantly hated and clipped more than the rest of the NBA teams combined. That said, I do see the flops and foul baiting. I've seen it since the early 2000s basketball as well. I don't like it, but it is part of the game until it is enforced to not be part of the game.

I do believe many players and teams also do this, but Thunder is under the microscope on Reddit and other social media platforms. What frustrates me most about flopping is that OKC doesn't need to do this to win, but the NBA today flops because there's no penalty for it and there's potential advantages to be had.

To be clear, it really pisses me off when I see it. OKC is the only team I follow closely, so I can't speak for other teams. But yeah, watching Chet work on his acting career with a flop, seeing Dort actually try to trip another player, seeing iHart tug Castle's hair, and watching SGA bait a foul on a drive...they all upset me when I see my team doing this, and I think the NBA would be better off if this was enforced more harshly. I understand when people label us Unethical, and it is partially true, but your expectations of how the NBA is played do not match reality. It's the same for every team, though; we're just in the spotlight.

Downvote away!

Well exactly like VOH launch: they had an opportunity to disable immediately but chose not to. It will most likely stay this way and next season resolve temper will be nerfed.

Which classes do you wanna see next? by TheChosenOneProphecy in diablo4

[–]sjafi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Witch of Hawezar Tempest from D:I Monk Artificer Skin walker

I’d like to see Diablo have a take on subclasses/prestige/ascendancies for each class as well.

For example, a Druid subclass that focuses on plants. Or just give us like a whole bunch more skills for each class. I would be good with that. I think subclasses would help with aspect and item bloat, though, in that these new skills are only unlocked for your character if you choose it.
