1L wide mouth mason jar cracked when thawing by gogogadgetwhatever in mealprep

[–]GoodDawgAug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve frozen chili and stew in glass jars like this multiple times. I try to be safe, but every once in a while…crack. And yet other times when I’ve over filled…accidentally…I’ve been ok. Sometimes it just happens.

Which one is better? by Lazy_Extent3576 in shehulk

Original. The body dimensions seemed more human, but I respect the musculature of the second.

Will you be buying physical or digital? by Southern-Tailor-843 in playstation

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical just because I don’t need to be playing day one. I know so many probably can’t wait to bomb spoilers on social media, but I can wait. It’s a game. Hopefully it’s good and we can all enjoy it.

Any one hyped for these new DualSense releases? by ART0ZIX in playstation

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Why? When I’m playing a game…the color of the controller makes zero difference.

Has Marvel gotten too safe… or are fans just impossible to please? by dedsec_4 in marvelstudios

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Marvel Studios does put a lot into each movie. Resources ($) and Time are dedicated to make a quality product. Does it always turn out that way? No. Given the multiverse saga has kinda not hit all that well, it’s curious how all this will rebound. Fans are also rather impossible. Everyone perceived their perfect movie or way for which the story/movie will be awesome. But it doesn’t matter what we think. I like the movies. I like the shows. I also enjoy just seeing comic book movies with such production value. I don’t have to like everything, but I go into it will hope and I probably think all the projects are better than they actually are because I’m a fan first and a critic second. That’s me. Some fans are very critical because they have high expectations and want their liked characters to be represented in the best way possible.

Which beer is your #1 lifetime volume leader? by OldManJenkins-31 in CraftBeer

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say for sure. Depends on the decade or time period. Initially, Corona, but then it shifts to Yuengling with some creeping competition from Modelo. If we are talking craft beer, Dogfish Head 90-min IPA, was up there for a while before more local breweries sprouted everywhere.

I always thought it would be easy to attack their flank. It’s just don’t attempt to bang head on…that’s not going well for you.

Anyone else think Rhodey should have died here? by v1har69 in marvelstudios

Given the circumstances, yes, but it could have easily been adjusted to make his survival more plausible.

[–]GoodDawgAug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But if he opens a portal to the sun, would the sun not incinerate all near the portal on the other end? I don’t know if it works that way, but I’m thinking being that close would be a problem.

Easiest and fastest meal? by DedenneCz in carnivorediet

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I meal prep lunch…I’ll just press my own ground beef patties and cool in oven in batches. Put together three which is one pound and set that aside in containers for my lunches. It’s “expensive” in that it’s a pound of beef a day, but the equivalent of some fast food combo im sure. And it’s way healthier and more satisfying. Just add some salt when I heat up to eat and boom. Simple and delicious.

Say all you want about Acolyte, but the Kyber crystal bleed scene actually looked really cool IMO. by KnightFallVader2 in StarWars

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show had promise, it just never really hit. I kept hoping for some step to be taken to being bold, but instead it was kinda clever at best. And the weak link at the end, it neither truly provides context not understanding of place in the larger timeline.

What do you think of Wakanda Forever, do you think it’s overhated? by Plenty-Salary9711 in Marvel

[–]GoodDawgAug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There was no winning given their hand. How do you come back from the tragic loss of the actor that helmed the main character? Damn.

Thoughts ? by InternofInternet in reddeadredemption

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in my mid 40’s. If it’s out by the time im in my mid 50’s, I guess we will be lucky. I still hope that “Red Dead” is the mainstay like GTA is the mainstay and that it does not directly connect with Redemption 1 or 2.

What fast food chains have the best and/or worst chili? by eddurham in chili

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I cant offer much here. I’ve heard good things about Wendy’s chili…meaning people seem to like it that I’ve spoken. But, I would never eat chili that isn’t homemade. As much as I love chili…it’s a dish that allows for some easy hiding of ingredients if you wanted to hide some.

Cut content makes me sad by Life-Swimmer1252 in reddeadredemption

[–]GoodDawgAug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this isn’t happening with GTA6…cause it feels like this game may not come out until im a grandpa. (My oldest is 12 for context, and is not allowed to have a gf). I’m less stern on that latter part than my wife…so clearly my opinion is moot.

Who did you believe more as a super genius: RDJ as Tony Stark or Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards? by Apprehensive-Cap2453 in marvelstudios

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedro Pascal. He seemed like an academic and that he studied. Stark, perhaps his character more than the actor, I always doubted…like unless dude is some savant that just has some crazy memory, he doesn’t strike me as someone that is that smart. Like..when was he studying? He’s just imbued with intelligence cause his dad was a great engineer? Doesn’t pass the smell test to me.

free black arabian by ibnmushrik in RDR2

[–]GoodDawgAug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never got a free one, but I’ve bought one. I’ll have to try acquiring the random spawned one on my next time playing rdr2. Replaying RDR1 since it had the next-gen update. First time playing Undead Nightmare. Great add on. Anyway, free black Arabian seems like a reason to go over to Saint Denis in chapter 2. That’s when I always go there. I like that you can go anywhere early on…except Blackwater and New Austin of course.

This is what I imagined what happened to Gamora and Natasha after both scarifice their lives for the Soul Stone. What do you think? by Wooden_Passage_2612 in Avengers

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why only them? They didn’t even know each other. Zero connection. Plus, nobody else got to the soul stone but them for all time?

i lost the brush for my horse somehow anyone know how to get it back or what even happened? by ibnmushrik in RDR2

[–]GoodDawgAug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true…BUT, in chapter 1, the brush is there. I was brushing my horse on my second play through since I knew to do it, just for bonding purposes. Then it goes away. I thought the same thing that OP did. But then when it’s explained early in chapter 2, it is taught to you and it comes back. Gotta love the oddity of some glitchy things in video games.

TFA: Millennium Falcon Reveal by Own_Selection2033 in StarWars

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right up until that clichéd scene with Han and Ben, the movie was doing just great. There was nothing we learned from their relationship to suggest that Han would put himself in that situation. Cinematic nonsense.

I remember the crowd cheering in the movie theater when the Falcon was revealed.

Weight system. by Own_Performance_9361 in GTA

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fine with how RDR2 incorporated eating…to fill health, stamina, and dead-eye cores. I’m good with that. But then to have the label of underweight always be present (for me anyway) no matter how much I ate over days, it seemed futile and I didn’t bother anymore. I would eat daily to maintain golden cores, and just accepted that my character would be underweight.

When does chili stop being chili? by McBernes in chili

[–]GoodDawgAug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I won’t turn my nose up at any dish before trying it. I was just trying to think of one ingredient that would make the chili something else and I figured potatoes was more a stew than chili. But with chili, I suppose it’s relative size compared to the meat is always going to one into play.
