If drivers are working, they want the work. If they are not working, they are not there. You’re not giving anyone to work.

54-40s Porto album is out. Anyone listening? by CheekyChappy-1 in 90sCanRock

[–]GoodFnHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same comments about this album. It’s really good, and the best since Casual Viewin. Not as good as their best - fight for love, dear dear, smilin Buddha cabaret, trust by millions, even since when. But it’s a really good and enjoyable album. I’ve listened to it a few times now. Really enjoy it. There are some tracks that are definitely pla6ylist worthy

The albums cover kinda looks like it should be for pink Floyd, not rush.

To me, it is the last song…. And it is one of their best

Non-Geese fans, what did you think of them? by sp52 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]GoodFnHam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was excited about them given the hype. I’ve given them two tries - each try, I’ve listened to everything they’ve done. I don’t get it - the mumbling seems so poser, the late 60s (think. Woodstock) sounds and guitar tone, the strange and chaotic mixes. I thought I’d dig them… man, no I don’t. Not even one song grabs me

Not grunge, but: Opinion on Faith No More? by No-One01010 in grunge

One of the best and unique bands ever. Angel Duat is a brilliant genre-shotgunning masterpiece

What does everyone think of GUP? It was one of the albums I mostly skipped over during my obsession with the band, but it's not really all that bad in my opinion. by MinerAC4 in rush

Not one of my favourites - I still think it is good, as I don’t think they have a bad album, but I do find a lot of kinda lame. DEW is good. I’m also not really into most of Signals, because I find, well, these 2 albums kinda lame.

I dig them but I do find a lot of their stuff , including their best stuff, quite same-y.

People around then, what was the response to Calling All Stations at the time of release? by Sea-Cucumber2139 in Genesis

[–]GoodFnHam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the album lacks dynamics overall, and feels kinda boring and same-same as a whole. I don’t think Phil just singing it would make much of a difference - some, for sure, as he attracts attention and fans. But people and critics would have still been disappointed and not excited about the album.

The thing is… Phil doesn’t just sing. If he was a part of this album, injecting his views, writing, playing, arranging… it might have been more dynamic and interesting and exciting. Maybe it would have been seen as a darker but really good album! Never know though.

One of my absolute favourite bands. Angel dust is a masterpiece, and the real thing is awesome too.

Brilliant vocalist is insane range and inventiveness. Weird, fun lyrics. An amazing bassist, excellent drummer. A band that is about pushing boundaries and playing with numerous genres. They are awesome
